FB is acting up a bit with me tonight as 'puter is doing it's weekly looking for bad things scan so it's taking stuff a while to arrive and for replies to go back.
Hi TP - I forgot to bring your scarf in again today! I'll try and get it sorted tomorrow otherwise it'll be at least a week as I'm off on hols on Friday.
No worries BDB, just glad it's not lost forever. When you get back from hols will be fine. You could even take it on hols if you want ..... not sure it's quite you though
The great unwashed of a certain town where I work view me slightly differently LoS, or rather, they don't view me at all, they just want to have a pop at the organisation I work for
Today's fiasco was partly my fault, someone posted a message on our helpdesk three days ago which needed me to respond to it, but because it had my colleague's name next to it, I didn't bother to read it. When the lovely member of the public phoned up in a total paddy to complain, I decided the best thing to do was come clean, apologise, make no excuses for not calling back, but then deliver the bad news that basically the answer to what he wants has to be no because it goes against policy. Deep down I know it's not personal, but when it's "you" have done this and "you" have promised that, it's really hard to keep that in focus, especially when he's going to make a formal complaint which will go right to the top and make me look bad.
I'm off to the Runner's Arms, fancy buying me that glass of wine I couldn't have at the social?
That's horrible Hash. I had the opposite experience today. Client thought he'd been overcharged, looked into it and he had due to somebody not inputting treatment properly. Phoned him back and explained, waited for the usual tirade and I got a 'these things happen, please don't give anyone a row about it, we all make mistakes'. I nearly fell off my chair with surprise.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Some poems rhyme
But this one doesn't.
I thank you
Last night as walked up the stair
I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish that man would go away
The roses are dead , and Violet is blue;
I shouldn't have mailed that bouquet from Peru.
Early to rise,
Early to bed,
Makes a man healthy,
But socially dead
Hickory Dickory dock,
A mouse ran up the clock,
The clock struck one,
And the other one got away with minor injuries
