What a stupid time to cash them - don't they realise its the end of the month well mine has been cashed so that means no eating until Friday for me (kidding) I also bequethed so looks like we will all be cosy in our new jumpers
Well, I'm pretty sure I bequeathed, so now I can't wait to get home to see if me bank statements arrived, to see if me cheques been cashed and so to work out that I've got to wait until December anyway to find out if I'm in! Darn it!
I guess teh bequeathers actually have to wait until End November/start of December, at least the others will know soon from checking bank statements.
Last year I really did my head in - saw the package, ripped it open - saw "successful applicant" at the bottom - got very excited - only to pull the wrapping back a smidge more to pull the mag out and reveal a rather crucial "un" just before the "successful applicant" ( Gutted!!
Guys. I have bequeethed each year since 1995 and I think the cheque hasn't come out of my account until December every year. Good luck to you all, I'm still checking my account every day in hope.
It says on the application form that if you don't bequeath your envelope will be returned UNOPENED, therefore if you didn;t bequeath and you have had your cheque cashed - london here you come!!
Both Mr SG and I applied and our cheques haven't been cashed. We didn't bequeath so we are both still hoping but on previous years when we have got in it was about the 5 or 15 November that our cheques cashed.
My cheque was cashed yesturday as well but then I live in London and bequeathed my cheque (the money goes to London sports clubs to encourage sports for children). Since both my 5 year old and 6 year old go to an athletics club every week that the council tried to close down a year ago I am happy to bequeth my cheque and thank all of those of you who don't live in London but still bequethed your cheques.
Last year I got my 'sucessful' letter the first week of December, whilst my nieghbour got her unsucessful letter one week later.
So heres to the next four weeks, I supose you could always go out running to relieve the stress of waiting for your letter!!!
My cheque was cashed on Monday - I think I bequeathed though. My excitement at the beginning of this thread is turning to frustration and nerves! I have renewed enthusiasm for running at the moment though!
I know what you mean. I'm in the same situation as you (+ many others!) - cheque cashed + bequeathed. Its all too much for me, I'm going out for a run to think about it.........I may be some time!
OH MY GOD!!!!!! My cheque was cashed 25 Oct I am in complete shock. Got turned down last year, didn't think I had a chance in hell this year either....BUT....looks like the weekly milage is about to start going up!!! Hehe
Facing the fact that I am not in as my bank account is still woryingly healthy....
This probably isnt the right place but does anyone know of any clubs in the SW (particularly Marlborough / Chippenham) area? My motivation is waning as the nights draw in!!
You never know that place may still be there after all!
Guestie I'm sure it's come up in this forum before but basically if you HAVEN'T bequeathed your entry fee to charity and your cheque has been cashed you are in!
(This cashing of cheques can take some while though as they've got a hell of a lot of applications to process)
If you HAVE bequeathed your entry fee to charity and your cheque has been cashed you'll have to wait till the official announcements in early December to find out whether you are in or not.

Sarah M - how have you heard that you're in? Is it that you're cheque has been cashed or some other means? Me clutching at straws again.
