We normally go Thanet Way, M2, A2 and then off round the back roads to Barnehurst station. There is another club member Ashley who is either looking for a lift or to follow people up there. I said I'd let him know at the meeting next Wednesday.
Thanks for the advice people. I have Charlie, CB, Charlie's daughter and if Ashley really needs a lift then we will fit him in. We will confirm arrangements closer to the time but Bill, I could pick you up at about 6.20 at the Chestfield roundabout and then use the SAT NAV to guide us gracefully in the direction of Barnehurst. What do you think?
Evening all, just checking the gossip from our hill side appartment in the french Alps. Snow and therefore skiing fantastic. Well done to those with pb's. Taper for those who should be. Enjoy for everyone else.
Bobo has been putting me to shame and doing some altitude training - all good prep for Iceland!
Thanks for the offer regarding Friday Mark, I would love to join you, however I have to be here at school for a quiz night. Deep Joy!
As for the 13th I would love to go in convoy but didn't want to put you out in any way. If we follow you at least i won't be reliant on a darned Sat Nav that is temperamental and navigationally challenged
Cliff we are picking Jane up first so maybe we could meet you at the sumerfield petrol station, Monkton Roundabout at say 6.00am then in convoy to collect Bill at 6.20 ?
I didn't know that about the Tesco vouchers. Instead of me saying "give it to the next person" I will try to collect for your school for the next few weeks of the scheme.
I remember it well Cinders - it does get easier - then they discover pubs and clubs and you're still awake half the night waiting for them to come home!

Convoy GB by Laurie Lingo and the Dipsticks, alias Dave Lee Travis. It was a spoof of the big US hit. Here are the lyrics

Cinders, the one you are thinking of was the Spitting Image single, I forget what it was called, but I know the one you mean.
hey Ive just had a thought if Bill brings his radio we will have a CB Radio (whats your handle) ?
The spitting image song was based on that old fave Agadoo I think. Maybe one for your quiz night Cliff.
So about the speed session tonight for all those non FLM ers !! what shall I have them doing
Whatever you do, make em suffer!!!!!!
I'd rather not think about Agadoo unless I absolutely have to!
Nooo, be nice CF.
I'll be along if I can keep my eyes open! Little man is 12 weeks today and getting ever more demanding
I remember it well Cinders - it does get easier - then they discover pubs and clubs and you're still awake half the night waiting for them to come home!
lol, well hopefully that's a little more than a few months away yet!!!
Right, dusting the trainers off now.....
You're never too young to discover pubs!!!
