i can't get on the website because it won't work on my home pc - something to do with the way henk has designed it i think - but i think you are allowed them after 60 miles in the 100, and after 30 in the 50.
Thanks UM, plenty of ice and painkillers, seems to be helping, swellings going down and brusings nearly gone. Going out for a few miles in the morning see how it holds up.
Think you can only train for this one so much and then mental ability takes over. Have done the 50 mile version twice and the thought of going around another 5 times..... but then its got to be done some time
all right in the end, didn't push it, but hilly. 14 miles in 2:31. Felt something give in my foot ( like bones going back to where there supposed to be ) and touch wood ankle feels good.
I made a decision over the weekend; I think I am going to go for a belt/water bottle set-up for this. With aid stations every 5 miles I just wonder if my 3ltr camelbak may be more of a hindrance than a help....
Checked out the course yesterday and my mate Chris has been grooming it excessively. Had a shout at him as I felt he is making it too easy for all of you. He subsequently promised to shove the cutters up some opening, not sure why he felt so strong about me pointing out the error of his ways....
As you all should understand, this event is for MY entertainment as I like to see others having a hard time. So at the very least, have the decency to look rough coming into my check halfway.....
Anyways, polo shirts are on order, numbers on the way, foodshop is being contemplated (why do you all eat so much?), signage is printed and ready to be nailed to trees (together with any t*sser that dares commenting on my course selection), Dick K is on standby together with his delightful family, sponsorship by Fitstuff is sorted (bars, gels, prizes) and low and behold, the permit to use the land dropped on the doormat with great reluctance on Friday!
It's been dry here for days and we missed 3 great weather weekends in a row. It will probably be miserable and cold and rainy, to complement my mood......
On the upside, the fall colours on the course are fantastic.
See you all there, look forward to it and many thanks for your support to make this a great event. Ring me if you get lost on the way or have stupid questions, 07891 788274.

I'm very tired and hungry lately I've made a concerted effort to eat more today...burp!
I have some people to consult before I make my decision about which distance to enter. I'll probably decide about Wednesday.
I'm looking forward to CC regardless of the distance I enter

Hows every one else ?
Great ND. Seems like you have it under control. Fingers crossed everything will be OK tomorrow.
I'm fine, but, tbh, I've not trained for this, so I'll have to see how it goes. I'm optimistic though
Agreed ND. Mental ability is so important in distance running.
Btw, how did your run go today?
Good news ND.
UM: ....... I wont say I told you so.......
