Since it turned a bit chilly today, saw quite a few blokes in leggings on my laps of Regents Park. So common that I'm sure it doesn't really raise any eyebrows - much more exciting was the police helicopter that decided it needed to land in one of the rugby pitches.
I wear running tights or lycra shorts most of the time. With nothing worn under or on top of them. I would however never expose my upper body gripped tight by my compression top! Guess the bulge above my waistline is more a problem than the one below!
I think a jock-strap is the order of the day. I wasn't invented for nowt at all and a nod to its historic place i s a a nod tomasculinity. Actually a Jockstap has a lot to offer in terms of support.
Bunches - typical, most guys wouldn't even think to comment if their partner was wearing tights to run in and you could see the hoof ,so why would you feel the need if there is a bit of bulge showing at the front.
Anyway, full length tights are ok for men, lycra shorts are ok for men, what is not ok for men and I cannot stress this enough is three quarter length tights.
Men do not wear three quarter length tights, it's wrong.
Purrleaaaaaase!! Camel hoof? I don't think so — my running gear is thankfully camel-free!! And if I did commit such a crime, I'd expect the OH to tell me for my own benefit!!
Anyway... I had this choice not so long ago, tights or no.. I chose no because I looked like a TW@T... Not to say that everyone does...However I do wear some underarmour shorts under my running shorts on the long runs.. just to reduce the chaffing... In most cases though i prefer to "swing free"..
I go with tights for comfort & practicality every time & nothing underneath them.
They serve the purpose well & it's not as if I am wearing them down the pub or Morrison's on the weekly food shop, well unless I am going dressed fully as Doreen rather than Darren
I find three quarter length/capris give me all the extra support I need - from the knees up. I swear by them, especially on trails. Though I still wear underwear too, both to prevent chafing, to feel less exposed and to keep things 'neat' I must admit! Just in case anybody does sneak a peek!
I get enough attention from the ladies as it is rather than having everything on display. I have noticed the ladies glancing downwards as I'm running past. Got a few winks out and about too so am not complaining. Even got wolf-whistled twice last week and that hasnt happened in over a decade!
I've put my tights way and am wearing skins now (the ones that go down to knees)...no undies, and I love 'em. A jiggly willy, women looking.....what's wrong with that?

Nothing except that after a proper run I'm too tired to do anything about the attention.
However 73% of people who expressed an opinion said that a man proudly wearing capris is just disturbing!

>> Erm, I've had a sheltered upbringing so pardon my ignorance but what are "assless chaps"?

Well you did ask
Yes, yes, thank you, thank you, I get the picture! In a manner of speaking ...
Can we move on now?
<Mutters to self: wish I'd never asked now>

naughty boy dibbers
(sorry posted in wrong thread)
No underwear ever. After all its bound to be made of cotton and therefore......
The uglier the running gear the better. Always choose dayglo. Running is really not a fashion show.
LOL @ camel's hoof, mmmmmmmm

Agreed - just say no to capris.
We're men.....men in tights..... We roam around the cities looking for fights......
We may look like like pansies, but don't get us wrong or else we'll punch out your lights.... (Song from Robin Hood:Men in Tights), click onthe link

What's wrong with three quarter length tights for a bloke?
They are just so comfortable to run in.

I wear underwear underneath mine.

Eh? people go free under their running tights? Surely just a pair of bog standard budgie-smugglers underneath will do the trick
Anyway, mine are washed, put away and I don't expect to wear them again until at least October!
Muttley - If you haven't got the legs for them...wear tracksters
Tracksters are sexy, not gay!
I was trotting down the road t'other day in my tracksters, and a little old lady nearly had a stroke. She wasn't quite quick enough ...
