Wow that is a great time. My best was 4:56 and doing it as a Mr Man last year my time was 6:57 (I think) I had a horrible time. I wanted to stop by 9 miles.
But I am sure it will be good for you. Hopefully we wont have the wind and rain of last year! Though hot wouldn't be pretty either
Its ok Nam I had already had a run in with the stretch limo about half a mile earlier. He touched my elbow with his wing mirror and my mirror rubbed the paintwork of his car!!

At that does explain why you looked ever so slightly stressed when I saw you.
I'm here - thanks for having me! Will drop gels off at Expo and am now looking forward to mile 17. I'm an FLM virgin so give me a big cheer as I go past!
You will have a ball Bongerman. It really will be the best day of your life. I felt invincible after finishing my first one. (Not while I was actually doing it I will have to say, but within half an hour of crossing the line I was contemplating what I could do differently for the next one!)
I have done 5 in a row too now. My first time supporting (about time I returned the favour). Deferred my automatic entry this year to run in 2010. It will be the 30th running and the first VLM so thought it would be good. It will also give me some time to recover from IMCH and build up to hopefully knocking half hour off my pb.
I am not an expert by any means but I love the variety in training. Mail me if you want any more (Don't want to clog up this thread) Or you can get loads of help over on the Tri forum
Lol Rob, I love those last 200 yards too. In fact I love it all the way along embankement. Once you get out of that blackfriars tunnel. Hopefully a nice bright, but not too warm day, will be perfect for the runners. I liked the rain last year less than I liked the heat from the year before. Think I made it into the tunnel just as the hail started.
Bongerman, you'll have a fab day, just relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Coming over Towerbridge is pretty amazing too.
Hmmm I was miles from home when the hail started. And I got so cold in the costume and the feet dragged on the floor sometimes so they took on water in the puddles! It was not a happy experience.
Rob I have been asked if I am doing IMCH in the Little Miss Naughty costume! I was a bit worried about getting a wetsuit to fit!!

Today, i'm really enjoying my taper. had a nice slow 5 miler this morning and feeling quite refreshed.
Should I be feeling excited or scared about the day? Or a bit of both?
Shaken feeling a bit of both is normal. Especially if it is your first. Once you have done one or two then you get the excited bit only.
Rob I am still in awe of you running in that costume. It weighs a ton! What is your best marathon time?

We need a team song i think
Group 2, woo woo, keep on running, you know what to do!
What do you think - no...? yes.....?
Needs a little work JW.......LOL
Rio don't want rain, wind or heat so i guess i'm stuffed.........
Man it's hot in that Nessa costume........
*coughs*
Must have been all those hot crossed buns...
Sorry Rio for almost getting you run over yesterday and depriving Group 2 of their supporter.
Next time I think twice before I shout your name and wave when you're in the middle of negotiating a very busy road.

You were the least of my worries! lol
Think we have also just aquired Ian Tomlinson and Bongerman.
I reckon that will be our fill though at least for now because if our missing 7 turn up we will be very busy
<pads around waiting for Ian and Bongerman>

Life is not measured by
the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments
that take our breath away......................
