i'm not certain but I think IW might have been pulled off as she has a T2 split which suggests she's gone back to T2 rather than started the second lap? fingers crossed that i've misinterpreted that.
i suspect the split distances aren't accurate as I think Smiley Lady would have been off the bike by now at that pace (and i don't think she'd slow down a lot).
think it must of been or we'd have heard otherwise. wonder if she's headed out on the run cougie style.
well, meeting that cutoff is hard for us back of the packers. found it tough enough at 30 years of age so i can't imagine doing it at 60! still, i guess she must have been confident otherwise she wouldn't have signed up. so maybe something happened out on the road.
anyone following the race coverage for the leaders? sounds exciting. macca slowed with cramps, bracht storrming past llanos, macca recovering and they're in the last few km
so does germany have a stricter cutoff on the bike than the others?
can't find any info on cutoffs
the cutoffs in germany for end of swim, end of bike and end of run are the same as elsewhere for a 16 hour IM. but they have a midbike cutoff that's not. so you have to do the swim and do 63ish miles in 5:45. means about 16mph on the bike. then you can slow down to 13mph and meet the end of bike cutoff.

macca's storming through to the front.
;o)
macca and the very cute eneko llanos are running together at mile 20 with bracht only a minute down so it's a real competition in the men's race.
bella bayliss is leading IMA
Jo through in 5:42! Good riding girl! great time so far. well done!
not sure if the timings going great but Jo has her bike time and no T2 time.......but IW has a T2 time
It's so hard trying to follow from the computer
T2 for JO 1:47
I could take off my gloves in that time
Ultra iron Wolf 641
Viking 1371
Holgs 1540
Just so I know who to look up !
Just back from a little run and bike. I'm gonna suffer on the Oly bike next week; that'll teach me to not do any cycling for three months!
Jo's flying!
Finger's firmly crossed for IW. Anyone know where the first run split is? Only way we're going to know if she's been pulled or not

first run split is 10.5k
yes wettie swim as they mentioned van vlerken not being as disadvantaged in the race coverage
Bummer for Wolfy if she hasn't made it. She did improve her swimming which is one positive she can take from it.
Can't help thinking that some of them are doing the swim leg faster than I did transition.
Go Pirates!
IW also had the guts to give it another shot even though the first bike cut off was always going to make it tough. she still might be ok
Come on Pirates !
