*puts on armband* Thanks Hash! Cheshire Tri in May Basil. I think I blacked out, then when I came too, it seemed as though someone had stolen my credit card and entered me into the tri Sarah, escape while you can.....
Definitely get a second opinion!! I was told the same thing by my physio 2 years ago after back and knee pain and gave up altogether except for very short runs on treadmill. I saw a chiropracter on my friend's advice 6 months ago and have been given inserts to wear in my shoes which were already corrected for overpronation. Back running and planning to run London April 2010!
Right, I have, through little choice of my own, been following the fizz's advice. I've been ill for getting on for two weeks (a cold, which led to laryngitis, which led to pleurisy ) so haven't run or done any of my gym classes for that time.
And my knees are much, much worse. Very stiff and downright bloody painful.
Does this confirm that the physio is an idiot, and that I should keep up with the level of exercise I'm used to, or have I gone too far the other way (albeit through illness - I would never normally be this inactive) and my joints are stiffening up?
Comments
*chuckles*
That's the same event, to all intents and purposes, as the Northwest Tri, isn't it? Might have to do that one again...
Well that's it. I'm done for. One of my uni lecturers is an Ironman.
Bring on the pirates!!!
I hope you mentioned them to him Sarah, he should be impressed with you being in training an all
You could mention that the Pirates have a man going to Kona this year after qualifying at IMUK
Reading the above was not a good idea when in the silent area of the university library. I was bloody well chucked out for laughing!!!
Seriously. I think I may have broken my ribs...
Gaz - I bet it is by the way. Lots of pervy old letches trying to get a leg over their students, ewwwwwwww
