I think I'll be puting the toe clip peddles back on the bike for this ride then at least I can wear my trainers. I find them much easier to walk in than cleated bike shoes
Knitting needles can be used for putting long hair up! (For when we do Meldy's hair....)
Good point about walking in cleats though. I wore out a pair of socks walking up some hill somewhere near Littlehampton that was too steep to walk in cleats without sliding down.
Right i've nicked a car, swapped the plates and stashed it in a lock up, as long as the rozzers don't ruin my plans i'm in.
Andrew Smith Barley Ditchy Tommygun2 Meldy (possibly) which witch Aliaird (need permission first!) Dustboy Kanga (could quite possibly) orangeCannon Hope (maybe) AL (two laps) HH (erm, although he doesn't know I'm putting his name down, but I need him to drive me home so I can sleep the sleep of the broken inthe car.....) Flat Footed
As far as gradients are concerned, Toys is about 20% at the top, which is nice as it gradually gets steeper over the 3km or so climb. Yorks is a definate minimum 20% at some points, as is One tree hill going up from Underriver. The interesting one will be Redmans Lane at about 44 miles
The rest of them are more gradual drags, Hubbards is especially nice.
Exactly, a bunch of friends who are there when we are suffering and help make us stronger so we can deal with challenges better. Some of my best friends are hills

( keep it clean eek)
at least that way I won't be suffering on my own
Oh and I ran tonight, 2.5 miles up hill then 2.5 back down, we should do a Halifax Devil

Ditchy, we could cut all my hair off and knit with it ... that would take much longer
Oh yes! But your hair is very long Melds, we'd probably need nice long knitting needles

Looks like the makings of a fun day - can Dusty promise to fall off somewhere please?

If the hills werent bd enough you will have to suffer Smiffy singing and whistling at you all the way round
or perhaps this time we can really break him
That'd be the cheap DIY Botox giving out then ....
Um, so should I maybe learn how to cycle standing up before March 27th then?
Good point.
But I think we need a catchier name for it so we can pass it off as an astute tactical manouevre.
