Not entitled to one as it wasnt an accident but will manage without for a few days thanks to various people and hopefully will get mine back when I return from Woff !
(((((PIRATES DO ROCK))))) May i please just thank all the pirates who have offered me the loan of bikes, bike bits, i have had so many texts and emails giving me advice and support and also great big kicks up the arse....You all know who you are......THANKYOU
Also i am now the proud owner of a new compact and new rear cassette will still be crap...just further up the hill though
Melds...that car shite is not what you need right now but pleased that you have been helped out though
Bad news Meldy, couldn't've come at a worse time for your wallet
Worse news Min but at least you'll not be tempted to do any last minute training
Ace news Tonka - you WILL be an Ironman ....... or Challengeman .......... or whatever; you WILL cross that line
I'm now in possession of three extra bikes and starting to get a bit paranoid about someone breaking into the house in the next 3 days - or, worse, breaking into/stealing the car while I'm having coffee/lunch/on the way to Roth
Blimey, it's all action on here - sorry to hear about the car Melds, but good that plans have been sorted.
Personally I'm disappointed that Tonka Boy has his gears sorted, I was looking forward to the possibility of seeing him ride my spare bike with the girly flowery baby blue handlebar tape
Min, hope you heal quickly and are icing etc
I have some niggles that I'm hoping are niggles exaggerated by taper madness.
Putting my foot into a rabbit hole on Friday whilst admiring someones putting on the golf course I was running past was not clever, but seems to be responding to icing.
Trying a new saddle position yesterday aggravated an old injury and just now my knee won't let me put weight on it whilst bent. This one I am worried about, but hey ho.

Ditchy - a bit early for trying something new on race day?
Meldy - thank goodness you'd already entered Regensberg before your car packed up otherwise you might have had to put the poor wallet away.
Trogs - I'm scared witless about getting stuff nicked on the way down. We're staying overnight and there and back... managed to find a cheap hotel with a private underground carpark on the way back... but prob won't sleep a wink on Tuesday night. Was going to try to pack the bikes in the middle of the car where they should be obscured by tents and things.
Hmmm TB - there's an idea. But that really screws up loading up the car. But will see how dodgy the area is that we're staying in.I was hoping to bury the bikes in the middle of everything so they weren't visible.
There is also a school of thought that will say not to cover everything up as anyone who is looking to break in will do so just to see what it is you are covering up .........
Its a calculated risk and you need to do as many deterrents as possible
AH....as Melds says re reversing up against a wall...but also try and park against a wall as well like in a corner and only have one side of the car accesible (cannot spell that word tonight)
Comments
well yes at least the tapir has been ignored today!! Packing still to be done but it is all ready to go on the spare bed so that wont take long
Aw! Ages of time for me to wish you all luck then.
Have you sorted a courtesy car Melds?

Reverse parking - def a good idea Melds.
