Not had any mail for over a week here in Sheff. Also now got a clash with Percy Pud. Want to do S10 more but I`ll see what weather does. Don`t fancy a long icy drive early Sunday. Apparently there`s less snow that side of Pennines - ?
Hardly a flake over here (I'm in central Manchester, I think there is a little more Stockport way), Egyptian, but it is very icy. Heavy rain and + 4 to 6 degrees forecast from Friday, which may clear it all
According to the entry list on the Stockport Harriers website it appears that race numbers 250 to 805 have been lost by Royal Mail. You can check you are a confirmed entrant on this list and also your race number. If they don't arrive you can collect on the day, but don't leave it until the last minute!
Eric - I entered on line. Will I have to collect on the day? I hope there will plenty of folk handing out numbers or it could be a (Royal Mail style) disaster!!!
We will be looking at having about 11 people on the day issuing race numbers (so 50 each). There will be plenty of entry lists on display so people can check what their race number is. I appreciate it won't be seamless but hopefully queuing should be no more than a few minutes maximum. We certainly won't put ourselves in the situation that happened a few years ago. Thank you for your understanding.
I went for a run in Stockport last night and it was very icy. However its been raining today and the temperature has been above freezing and will be up to Sunday which should mean that the route will be ice free.
If you get lost and end up on the A6, take the turning opposite that for Stepping Hill Hospital. If you get lost ask anyone where Woodbank or Vernon Park are (they adjoin each other) There is limited parking in the Park car park but plenty of off road parking around the park
Honestly got no idea what I'm going to do with any of the contents of the bag, but I'm still really looking forward to this - looks like the weather should be ok too, a bit of fog notwithstanding.
