I am home and I'm soggy and I now have to go back and walk back past the bus stop I got off at just now and back again
I need to make an appt to get my eyes tested again but I'm hoping that it will tell me my eyes have settled so I can have them lasered.....I have never managed to get a contact lens in my eye as I have a strong blink reaction and after 25 years of wearing glasses I'm fed up with it!
Melds - Hayley has no internet at home at the mo and the FB updates are from his phone. He still loves us really......well, maybe not Smiffy after our visit a week or so ago but......
I hate to say it, but my can of pussy actually tastes quite nice.
Seren, I get my shopping delivered so I only have to do the putting away part. It makes it easier to deal with. I detest food shopping and as a result am a useless food shopper. Unless I order it over the internet I end up with a trolley full of 'nice things' which are of no use for making meals.
I spend less when I internet shop though. And I pay an annual fee of £70 for deliveries (which I save on car costs) so it all works out quite nicely really.
+1 for the 'spending less when you shop online' thing. We are dreadful impulse shoppers and frequently spend more than we should on crap that, as Holly says, is no good for actually making meals!
But now we have Waitrose in the fambly we've gone back to shopping there. We do get a discount, ya see, and the online bit doesn't do that. Yet.
I used to do online food shopping mainly cos I was a 30 mile round trip from a decent sized supermarket and I could get it delivered while I was working from home, but I'm not in charge of the food shopping any more...that feels very odd so I just pick up the odds and ends as and when needed
I did ponder about using said word, but opportunities to drop it into the conversation are so far and few between. I could be accused of a degree of circumlocution.
All of which dates back to a slow afternoon in school when we were looking at words in the dictionary and I got the bit which started circum....
I shop with a shopping list but look out for bargains and reduced stuff......
My family know what they like so it gets awkward if something isn't there when you shop online.instore I can see whats in stock and adjust my meals for the week accordingly
I don't mind the actual shopping...........its the putting away....I usually end up doing it in stages...frozen and fresh first.....then a bag every 15 mins or so as I go in the kitchen....still 2 bags left in their to sort out.......
In 3rd form History class once we were learning how to use 'evidence' to find out facts.... and we had to bring in something of ours and it was randomly swapped..... I was given someone's ID card, and under sex, instead of M or F it said C. Poor bloke I don't remember being tactful in my line of questioning.
Where has the day gone? I have been at work for two huors already ... I have however checked next years shifts to see how mauch leave I need to take around the July/August time
It's not cold here! It was -8C when I walked back to the hotel in a blizzard last night and just looked at the forecast for Finland and it's currently -18C where I'm going next week brrrrrrrrrrrrrr
TMW..............hope the controls picked that one up before it got into the account
The rain has stopped..to be replaced by ice and freezing temperatures.................no inbetween for us at the moment.............
anyway a rest day from running................so going to cycle to the severn bridge............and then clean my bike........ its stinking from yesterday
Holly..doing intervals when you haven't been able to get much running in might not have been the best idea........
got to admit I avoid intervals like the plague as it always seems to be the thing to push my tired muscles into quitting........
Lol! It wasn't even the intervals, seren. I'm pretty sure it was the warm up (which is even more embarrassing!). I have a problem with my soleus when I push up strongly from the balls of my feet, so doing skipping and high knees isn't really a good thing for them. The intervals themselves were quite fun.
Pneumonia isn't fun. Not that I've had it myself, but my daddy did and he was ill for a very long time. Poor chap. He didn't have a day off work til he was 50 and then ended up in hospital with a chest drain, and had to go back on part time hours for about about 3 months.

no opinion really on glasses.......my eyes are the only part of my body that still works

Since subscribing to Foodfocus my shopping habits have become more circumscribed. I am at heart a bit of a 'half price tart'.
I also think I've just scooped the 666666 view.
Oooh you little devil, Ferret!
I read that your shopping habits have become circumcised

*runs and hides*
I went to running club
I managed to pull my calf and had to leave after the 7x400m and the first timed mile. Which, by the way was shit, because I couldn't run.
I will have to go back next week and do the walk of shame
But I will go.
Hello All
