And on the off chance that someone remembers this when putting together the lists for next year.... cable ties (rather than string for putting up the banners) and big plastic bowls (as well as plastic bags for handing out JBs and JCs)
Becks - cable ties were considered but there was a little confusion between me and Barlos about who had any and who was even bringing them. I took bowls to the place where I was staying the night before, but was assured we could cope without them. Added to that, I would have had to cart them around London and the pub until I got home. We try to travel as light as poss and use stuff that can be thrown away.
Sioux - I called out your name at the Expo (outisde the exhibition hall) on Saturday as you had your Fetch sweatshirt on. You did stop and look round, but I guess you were not expecting anyone to call out your name.
Sorry, rather late to this, but also wanted to post my thanks! Was lovely to see old faces (hello Soupy and SuperCaz) and some new (hello Saffy). TommyGun and Bikermouse - I think you must have gone/been doing something else by the time I got to MudChute but never mind! Thanks for all the usual wonderful Mudchute support. Hope to be "giving something back" myself next year
So, I finally got round to emptying my bag from Sunday this evening (it had become more hassle to keep stepping over it than it was to empty it!).
Amongst the 3 balls of string, 1 sharp knife, bin liners, a pair of scissors and a roll of gaffa tape (& a partridge in a pear tree) I was delighted to discover a half drunk bottle of lucozade (not mine), 3 lonely jelly babies and the best find of all.... a brown kind of mass which upon closer inspection appeared to be some squashed, melted and now re-hardened jaffa cakes. Nice!
At least it meant my dinner was sorted for the evening!
My other half has been moaning at me for leaving the kitchen scissors behind lol. I had a cork from a bottle of fizz and two clearly used plastic cups, what does that say about my priorities!!!!!! Hehe let's not get into that debate
SBH - if they are your scissors (or even if they aren't) I will quite happily send them to you as I really don't need 3 pairs of kitchen scissors!! In fact, you can have the scissors along with the 4th ball of string I've just found!
Whoever is supporting next year you'll be pleased to know you will now have some sparkling clean banners; it's amazing the things I can find to do rather than studying
