Hopefully I will be living in Weest London by then (if I ever manage to find somewhere to live which should make something like this much more easily accessible, so for the time being please put me down on the 19th. Non planned on the 6th Nov? I'm ballbusting (quite literally) so can't do the 12th
I believe his Smiffyness is currently on vacation. The dates suggested were to fit in with his shift schedule, nothing to stop "us" arranging things for other dates. I can't do this weekend though.
Just bouncing coz am looking to do "The Crease" (don't ask) next Saturday morning.
About 30 miles, 500M climbing overall, nothing you have to get out of the saddle for, loads of wide sweet good shallow downhill. Good roads, few miles on an A road, bit of residential. Includes the Western bit of the Surrey Rumble (backwards).
Start about 09.30 Pirbright Village Green Hall (google it) car park, free parking,no burgers but a couple of pubs on the green for afters (idyllic Midsomer type village Green with cricket pitch, duck pond & 2 pubs which do food)
Aiming for consistent pace rather than stop start, but at pace of slowest rider coz I am nice like that.
This route will be forming the base for my Outlaw training in multiple laps, so if you fancy trying out a 30 mile lap with a view to upping it later in the training to 2 or 3 (or 4 ouch), then come out to play.
Couple of bale out points available to cut route (if necessary). Couple of shops on way for refuel if necessary and a piss point if you need it.
As they are "bigger" roads, should be OK with a waterproof on if it rains etc. No spindly little track type road with 3 inches of leaves on. Well, there shouldn't be.
Can't do Saturday DB - not got the car and going to Swindon on the choo choo train to do a ride with Schmunks and bouncy bunney. But maybe another time, tho can't bring myself to say I'm riding a crease.
LN, I can't seem to save it as a gpx file but I have shared the link to the site on my arsebook page. That seems to work (even if I did sent it to Mrs DBs fb site by mistake at first!)

A good day to die (metaphorically)
Oh great one, would you please lead us into verticality.
Melds, PSC & Plum, OC, SB, can you make it? Coach Bassos will think it is a flat downhill now though.
I'll tip off Lord H & Cordon Crash, both of whom have zapped up Barhatch recently, bastards.
hmmm... well, i suppose ill never know unless i try! Think 19th November should be ok.

I've just googled Winterfold and wish I hadn't cos it came up with this:
Further to the west, Winterfold Hill offers a serious, testing 21% gradient.

Any fun lovers wanna play?
Log in to your Garmin account and look up Dustboy's Crease
I didn't name it! Lord H did. Now that beggars a question!
I'll take the overwhelming response to mean my long lonely winter training has started
And as for the average 16.2mph recorded by my Garmin for the route, I wondered why my legs hurt. Ain't never been that fast before!
I wanted to say that I was wondering where DB's crease is but that sounds just too wrong. I've already needed one dose of brain bleach today.
I didn't look too hard for your crease Dusty, and failed to find it.
Do you have a clicky link?
Can't play this Sat as will be vomitting at Box hill.
(Low but otherwise amusing blow)
I'll be repeating it soon anyways so...
<wondering if Dustboy's crease is anywhere near Martha's back passage that has been mentioned as a run by him before now.>
DB - if you can manage to email me the gpx, I'll upload it for you/put it on here.
