This is just a continuation of the Kent and Surrey thread... with Hampshire added in.
Is it too early to be thinking about dates for rides in Jan/early Feb?

I like the idea of Hampshire, bit of sightseeing & all that.
It's about 56 miles to Hennys from Newlands. That's 112 there and back, not that I actually said that of course...
I wouldn't fancy trying to get in 112 in the available daylight we've currently got.
I can probably do most of the suggested dates. Do we fancy a downs link run at some point? Mostly off road, but do-able on a hybrid (I believe Meldy also brought Trixie the cyclo-X bike and survived).
We could make whichever date lots of people can do that I can also do a Hampshire ride
Sounds good to me, put me down for all of them
Well some of them anyway, especially the NewlandstoHennysandbackthenruntoBoxhillandbackbrick
If I did it again I would bring the MinX instead
and yes, I could make one or two of the dates provisionally if they fit in with my plans for world domination
The optional finish was jolly nice and the chips were good!
Put me down for the short ones on the nice non-icy days
Ironman? What ironman?
Ferret biscuits welcome as I am a Ferret biscuit whore.
Where will the cheeseburgers be?
And don't forget Cat5's ride this Sat at Swinley at 10am.
Traditionally we start from Cranleigh leisure centre car park, GU6 8AE.
The full Shoreham and back deal is a little over 50 miles- as it's off road average speed will be around 10mph-ish. Shoreham's got a number of nice eateries for burgers. I think about half of that will get you to the optional pub with chips, or for a short lung-clearer you can stop at Southwater Country Park which has a cafe.
The route mostly follows a disused railway line so it's nearly pan flat, only one really steep rise (on the way back) and whether you can get up that one really depends on grip levels on the day.
Roasted Feret
Can we do live chickens instead?
Youre supposed to dunk them in olive oil first!
AND, whats happening with a Christmas ride, tud be good to plan something in 29th or 30th.
Would be fab to do a pre-New Year ride... at this end I still need to keep vaguely flexible for all the other visitational things that happen that week. But of course it would be more fun to ride. Could do MTBs from Newlands if the weather's crap.
And we can do chickens at The Hen House, too, as well as ferrets. Not much meat on a ferret. We currently have four geese but they're all going on A Special Holiday soon.
Boing boing boing. Who up for some Sat/Sun rides?
If you put your name down, perhaps say which locations you can do. Options are starting from Cranleigh, Smiffy-ish in Kent, Newlands Corner just outside Guildford or the Hen House near Winchester.
In Jan the rides could be 40-50 miles, in Feb 50-60, March 60-70 maybe.

I've got the potential to do a ride Sun 29th Jan (work permitting), other dates no idea yet!
Quite a fast course, lots of "Wheeeee" Very little upflat, certainly nothing you have to get out of the saddle for.
Interest?
May be up for the 29th as well, not sure yet.
boinged for this Sunday.
DB - could you give us a postcode of the start for the sat nav brigade?
Who's up for this then apart from Dustboy and me? I might be able to supply pirate cup cakes if thats any inspiration?
Lord H confirms he is in.
FB'd Gladys who is always asking for a Sunday ride but I must be on his hate list as no response.
Saffers is partying the night before, so Plumbabe will be on her case.
Not lumpy enough for His Most Illustrious Highness and all round Excellency Smiffy.
Can't find exact postcode but "Avenue De Cagny, Pirbright".
Can't be many of those and it's only 100 yards long. Hang on, GU24 OJT is the pub address.
Soupy, you will LOVE this ride. I am hoping for a "How Fab were that!"
Ferret, you in?
Henny, Trogs, Podds, Barlos, UltraCaz, PLUUUUMMMM (Old & a bit mutton ;O)) Helloooooooooooooo
I'm hoping Podds is going to be joining us as well. And I've arranged for some of these:
where's the location for Sundays ride?
im hoping to join you for a winter spin
