no cheque cleared yet, I have a gold bond place anyway but if I get in through the ballot I will still raise money for the charity but with less pressure to raise a set amount.
Well kittenkat if this year is the same as previous years the first wave of cheques tends to be for those folk that are in the race, whether they bequeathed or not. Last wave of cashed cheques are bequeathers who have not got a place. I think that's the way it has worked. I'm sure others can confirm or not...
I would say you are in the first wave...but I guess you'll know for certain in a month
KK I was just about to say the same as Lennon. Usually if you are in even if you have bequeathed your cheque will be cashed in the first couple of days.
As I entered online I am going to have to wait like everyone else
nought for me. Glad really as did Beachy Head on Saturday and I can't walk now Might feel more motivated when I can do the stairs again (facing the right way that is)!!!
arghhhh, just checked, no £32 out. Yet. got excited because my balance was lower (this doen't usually excite me) until I realised it was just petrol money that had come out. Damn those cars!
I've decided to think positive, however, and keep imagining my friend and I turning the corner onto the Mall and sprinting over the finish line (okay fantasies are allowed to be a bit OTT). Was in London for the weekend and saw tons of folk out for a run....was hoping in 5 months time that'll be me!!!
KK - I didn't know it was possible to enter on-line? I must admit that it did seem a bit strange that only one person's cheque had been cashed today. This thread is usually on-fire with very happy/very miserable runners on the day the first FLM cheques have been cashed. Good luck with your entry.
I'm so worried that i won't get in, that i've not even thought about the horror of actually getting in then having to run 26.2 miles.... what on earth was I thinking?!?!?!!? Why do I want to get in? The voices, the voices......
Must be the postal strike my cheques were cashed this time last year, and the year before. Started to look around for other marathons as I dont think I will get another shot at it. I always run for charity but I just will struggle to raise the required amounts for the London. Also I like to choose my charity for my own reasons.
yeah, tis just a hideous waiting game?! If my pal and I don't both get in, we're going to try for New York marathon next year......though might be easier to get in through one of those travel deals, but who knows.
Would be our first marathon, so we really want to do it together, as we want to be able to spur each other on (secretly I want her to drag me round, but she doesn't know this yet )
This is my third year of trying to get in. Bequeathed the first year - nothing cashed yet although i may be slightly glad as I've been injured and been ill alot this year so I am starting from scratch again with my training.
I hate the waiting to see if cheques are cashed....

Still nothing for me.

Nothing for me either.
By the law of averages we would have had at least a couple of successes from this thread but we only have jas ion, so maybe tomorrow!
Stay positive folks

Maybe tomorrow will bring some news.

The one good thing is every one else hasn't had their cheques cashed yet.
