If there is the demand for new kit I will coordinate a new order via LG. Delivery takes up to 3 months, I will do what I can to hurry things through so with a bit of luck we should have the kit late June/early July.
- I have put a rough guide to prices, I will contact LG and confirm.
- We need to reach a minimum of 16 units to order any item.
- Initially we'll stick to the key items but LG also do cycling tops, jackets etc. If you want anything like this add it to the list and we'll order once we reach 16 units.
- Sizing, LG kit comes up on the small side, suggest you find someone a similar size to you who has LG kit and get their advice, or post on the thread and im sure people will try their best to advise you.
- I'll confirm the order/payment process in a few days but ill be keeping it simple.

(Does it show that I'm a IT management type in real life, and therefore have lots of *really* cool ideas that need other actually talented people to magically implement ? I'll do the gannt chart, business case, powerpoint slides and make the virtual coffees though if it helps)
Barley I much preferred the LG kit. Do you know what material they'll use though? I love the old-style down-stripes version rather than the 'dotty' material they used on the second order.
I could do with a Monaco.

Pirate Kit offer/needing Lending Thread
Kanga, yes there is a way of providing a fairly simple way of collecting the order information. The psof forum allows you to set up and have a poll. This allows people to "vote" for different options and you can allow each person as many "votes" as you like. That person oncethey have voted can also change thier votes.
So if each option was a piece of kit, someone could "vote" for the bits of kit they want. If they change thier mind they can change this when ever they want. This would immediatly give the numbers of each bit of kit.
However, for someone to easily find out who wanted which bit of kit, rather than simply quantly of each will require some changes to the code. This can be done (there are variouse changes already published) but it will probably be a few days before I could do this.
If there are not too many types/sizes of kit each option could include the size. i.e.
Tri Shorts (S)
Tri Shorts (M)
Tri Shorts (L)
Tri Shorts(XL)
e.t.c. but this might make the poll rather long... The alternative would be to work out the sizes later.
Don't know if this would help?
I think that was the only quality gripe with LG.
Lets see how things go, I dont really think we need a web enabled data base backed ecommerce solution to order 40,50,60 bits of kit.
We may need a robotical automated warehouse despatch carrier pidgeon transit thingy
Rock on Barlos !
I did start implementing some of this but stopped due to lack of feedback. I'm probably not in a position to do much about this at present as in the middle of a house move...
The Poll method of collecting quantities would be much easier to set up for now though.
Ah, didn't see it, will check it out. You're not just a pretty face !
Maybe just the survey thing for starters ?
Kanga I agree. I've just taken a quick look at the poll software. It's currently limited to 10 items.
However if we ever wanted to have sizes we could have a different poll for each piece of kit. I will look into it further during the next few days.
Donald - it's a popular myth that we need sizes when we do a kit order thread. All we need are quantities of items. Sizes are req'd with order and payment.
Great stuff
