Im debating on not running/doing this again with not enough training{again} after making HIMs my main races this year. I shall only want £25 if I don't run, not the full amount. I'll get back on here soon about it.
Sadness would understate it but I can't make it. Good luck to the usual suspects. Anybody need a place as I am happy to part with mine if you buy me a BHM t-shirt in exchange from the hall (seem to buy one nearly every year)

I was keen to do the jog shop today but getting down to Brighton early this morning changed my mind - unfortunate turn of events. How was it?
Getting very excited about Beachy - seems strange to think it will all be over in two weeks' time! Can anyone who is in the area please give an update on weather/condition of trails? cheers
Yep - JS20 never gets any easier. My max 17 miles of training didn't quite get me home comfortably and I found the last four miles a bit of a trial but I made it. Slower than two years ago but the plan was just to get round yesterday. Just a bit of light training now ahead of Beachy!
Really sorry to hear you didn't make it Robster - rumours of train chaos to London....
Judging by the condition of JS trails the route round Eastbourne will currently be very dry but all that can change in the next two weeks!
seafront pmo but you need to get there early - the later you leave it the further away from the start you end up. Or you can walk if you are feeling enthusiastic. I think my B&B is pretty near the start this year...well I hope it is!
FB can you tell us what the tide conditions will be please in case i fancy a little swim at cuckmere on my way through.
Parking - anywhere you can avoid the wardens Tide - yes there will be a tide in some condition (low as it happens) Soup - I believe this year it's fecknose. like oxtail but the other end......
Does anyone know of any classy places to eat in Eastbourne. Not cheap and cheerful but quality food and service. Has anyone ever had dinner at the Grande Hotel?
Mirabelle at the Grand is overpriced for what you get - if you want a good vfm hotel type restaurant try the Waterside. if you want good food in a quality gastropub try Bibendum.
this place - Exquis - is getting good reviews. not tried it myself but know a few who have and they say it's good
no idea Birdy - there doesn't seem to be that big a turnout of the usual suspects this year. the Marine Pub where we've congregated for the last couple of years is as good a place as any - and in crawling distance of the Travelodge so no need to hack all the way back up to the Ship in the Meads for those staying in town.
