I am in the Swan hotel, I think Soupy and a few others may be too. But that is probably a good reason to stay away Slummo! They seem very reasonable, give them a shout.

Yeah, right. Holiday Inn has a mini gym (which I will obviously be using on Monday) and a bar. So ner.

I think they're the same postcode, so you can look out from your crappy hotel onto the luxury across the way and be jealous!

A few of us stayed in Swans Hotel a couple of years ago, it's perfectly reasonable and has all the essentials............like a large cooked breakfast and a bar (and it has a small lock up shed which would probably fit 2 bikes in next to Chef's freezer)

After my camping experience at IMW I will never EVER camp after an Ironman again. Halfs are fine... but I want a bed after doing the full distance!

Camping here (well camper van and awning). Two concerns though, how to get ready early on race morning when wife and daughter are trying to sleep in the van and the security of my bike as it can't be in the van when we are sleeping. Hotel sounds like quite a good idea!

Darkness your bike will already be in T1 Saturday night with a security guard's watching over them all will be safe there last two years I've gone down to the lake side for some peace and quite and the git's have challenged me half way through doing yoga/kata's it was embarrassing.

Camping here. Wondering whether to take the BIIIG tent and rely on the pirate massive to help get it down on the Tuesday (MrsCat5 & kittens heading South on Sunday eve).

Bike will be in car Friday night.

Am hoping my pal will finish in better shape than me (I'm sure she will) and she can load me into the car at one end and out again at the other

I am Swan Hoteling it at Outlaw.....have no idea how far it is from the finishing line but am sure that compared to where Pirate HQ was at Regensburg, it cannot be any further!

Hoping I will remember to pack underwear this year. You would not believe the problems I had trying to get Barlos to the lingerie department in M&S in order to get some at short notice last year.
