Ohh I have a question, in either distance or time, how long is your longest run in training?
Foolishly I've decided to do the London Marathon 3 weeks out. For me then it wlil be 26.2 miles and not a single step further. I will not be racing that marathon. Just a (bloody) long training run! Normally I'd do 3-4 20 mile runs prior to my IM races.
You chose a good week to go, it's like fecking Siberia here. There's snow but it's finding difficult to stick cos the wind is so strong and is just blowing it around. It'll be turbo for me today me thinks
Not sure if this would help, but we're staying at CLS and rather than using taxis have hired a car out - the cost was only £71.00 for the full week. Don't know whether that would work out cheaper than hiring taxis.
it might be freezing but it makes beautiful patterns on the road where it looks like dry ice being blown around on the surface........such a magical look that is better witnessed from the inside of a warm car.not from the saddle of a bike
Quite warm on the bike commute this morning, well, it was +1C so relatively warm I guess. Hoping to get 80+ miles in the bag on Saturday, may well be a touch damp out there, joy!

Raf's had Schmunk's hand up his skirt, I expect he either a) wants her to do it again or b) is worried she might rip his thingy right off next time.
I need to speak to my lawyer before I answer any of the above
Anyway re sandbagging....errr i won that award today after complaining of no riding over winter then winning the 10mile TT round el gofo.

Not jealous ... it's just not fair!
Well done on the TT, what was your time?
OC - officially noted as being a sandbagger on the blog!
What was the wind like on the TT?

wimp!! It's lovely and sunny here - although haven't ventured outside yet, so no idea how cold it is!! But it looks nice
Managed a whole one mile run yesterday - first for five weeks! So zero to marathon fit in ten weeks???
Sounds very piratey that
So in true Pirate fashion, I should start with a rest day then and just go to the pub?
Pirates dont run, it is perceived as cowardly. Pirates are like glaciers, they ominously keep moving forward by sheer pressure.

Hey OC, just read DAY 1 and DAY 2 blgs. Congrats on your TT win!
Schmunkee - I've sent you a response, but not sure whether I've done it right. Any problems, let me know.

I have a long bike planned for Saturday and the forecast is for rain all day
If nothing else we will be as tough as old boots come May
Read the blog every day! Looks like you are having fun. Good!
Not been able to bike or run since early march due to knee pain. Extravalanza fast turning into " Beat the cutoff"

Did you wear shorts?
Sure did
Just paid the final installment for the apartment - which means it can only be 9 weeks till I'm there ..........
*shuffles off to panic in a darkened room*
Are we supposed to remember or do they tell us?
They send me a email.... but that might be as I've had bank cards re-issued since I originally booked (thanks to little internet tinkers!!)
