same here re the bike .. commute to work and back a few days a week (26 round trip ) and a couple of longer rides (but definately not "long") since last september . waiting for the sun to put its hat on
I did tons of cycling last year, but this year I've got VLM in April and it's really cocked my training up! I did very little running last year due to various injuries but so far this year (fingers/toes crossed) I'm ok. I don't much fancy a long cycle on a weekend after a 16 mile run!
Slower OW sorta started but my crash, one mates manflu and anothers 3 week holiday to Sardinia has sorta put it on hold we usually start to bin the pool around now and try for at least 2 OW swims a week soooo open invite to anybody holidaying in the East Cornwall area PM me and come and join us for a dip Neil (clear link) did last year we had a great evening swim. What happened to Clear Link?
I am the same with the marathon training meaning a bit of a lack of bike training... except I havent really been run training either!!
Longest runs are 1 x 15 mile and about 4 x 11 miles.... and VLM is only 6 weeks away!!! I have normally ran about 3 x 18 mile runs now and would thinking about getting in 3 x 20+ mile runs over the next 3 weeks!
Can it please stop fecking raining I discovered my new commute route floods a little in heavy rain this morning. I'm itching for some sun later on in the day now to. I just want to get on with it on a bike.
same as me, but do have an 80 mile sportive on Sunday, with Mrs SA, ironholgs and Cona
I have just entered for Sunday. Very scared as have never done a Sportive before or a ride more than 60 miles for that matter.
Will you have pirate kit on? I would like to hook up with some friendly faces.
Muffin will be easy to spot with or without pirate kit, SA will be clowning about while his better half looks on bemused, Cona has a big tattoo up his arm and is a bit off a looker and ironhogs will be eating a baon sandwich before the race.
Watch out for cona's dog it's will make you want to give it a big cuddle if he has it on him.
Amen to that Cake!!! Can actually see some sunshine in the Costa del Kent today!!!
Recover well WW.
Little spin on the turbo last night, and the same planned for tonight.
Planning to do this week's long run as my commute, so just over 10 miles each way. Anyone got an opinion on how effective a split long run is compared to doing the whole lot in one go?
10 mile run into work this morning, lovely day for it, over dressed as usual and ended up way to hot.
I have a blister on the side of my foot now. I NEVER get blisters, wtf is that all about. I've run much further distances in the same shoes recently so why blister now. Hurrumph ...
I know having a total no training week is doing me good injury wise. BUT I am climbi g up the walls with supressed energy currently speedwalking everywhere )
Missing a load of sessions this week, due to work and a dodgy alarm clock. Haven't got a proper swim in for 2 weeks, only cycled one day this week so far and 2 runs of just 45 and 50 mins. Hope to get back on track tomorrow with my long run (11 miles planned) before work and then a 30 min lunchtime swim.

I've done the grand total of about 60 miles on the bike this year so far. I have at least had my 3 longest runs and my longest swim ever though.
Easy 3 mile recovery run last night and a spin on the turbo tonight.

Turbo and a run at silly o'clock for me today.
Pingu, I almost text you yesterday to see if you fancied a bike ride soon. Let me know if you're up for it.
I really need to start getting some long bike miles in. Lets hope for some nice weather for the next few weekends. I'm *so* over the drowned rat look!
