I plan to buy some and given you get 180 in a pack will have spare with me.
they are a hell of a lot cheaper than the saltsticks....looking at the ingredients there isn't a lot of difference......saltstick have nearly double the magnesium but less calcium....saltsticks have slightly more chloride but the sodium and potassium is almost the same...........saltsticks have added vit d.but if yyou are out in the sun then i'm sure you would have enough.......
they collect their electrolytes form different sources though so i wonder if that would make a difference..........
so my end decsion is that i will stick to saltstick tabs for the race as i know they work and agree with me.but i think i will buy some of the other cheaper ones to give to my hubby as an experiment
Trying not to think about neck/shoulder pain that I've been having since my collision with a Range Rover 10 days ago. Ironically my bike is fine. Been to osteopath twice and massage therapist but still painful and reduced movement. Not boding well for Sunday is it...
packing is the easiest thing - take everything you own, then decide the night before what to put in your bags. although you might not think you need that winter bike jacket in 27 degree heat - it is the UK
K9 - bar end plugs - it's as meface describes - bikes need to be fitted with them to prevent injury in case of accident.
as a BTF race official, safety is something we take seriously so if you rock up at an event without bar end plugs, you might not be allowed to race - but usually we have duct tape to hand to make sure the tube edges are covered over.
at the end of the day, it's your responsibility to ensure that your bike complies with the BTF rules and we try not to spoil your day, but if we have to stop someone racing on safety grounds then sadly, we will do so.
last week i had 6 inches cut off my hair so it will be lighter in the heat....and now I have restored it to its natural colour as it seems to keep on wanting to change its natural colour for some daft reason
don't know where you're accessing it from but in the race info on page 4 two thirds of the way down the page under Spectators - where to go the word guide is highlighted in orange. Click on that and it will come up.
Just been out on the bike - computer not working at all and I can't reach the bottles I put on the back so they can come off again

At our club's kids tri the BTF official had a big bag of corks with him to fix the kids bikes!
Had to make an emergency purchase of camping wine glasses last night, talk about last minute panic!

You getting posh in your old age - swigging out the bottle, or even a High 5 water bottle, no longer good enough for you!!
I might need to borrow your wine bottle to hammer my tent pegs in
That's cos I is well posh, innit.
Gerr'off me wine
For those with family/friends going the supporters pack is out on the OSB site now apparently.
Indeed. It says:
The onsite bar is open until 1am!!!
Barlos, that and setting light to your tent is legendary
Wierd when i go onto it it still says it hasn't been published yet.
Thanks Pixie

Ooh, it's getting very exciting now, and I'm envious of you all.
This is the first year I've not entered the Outlaw one way or another. Don't suppose anyone's looking for a cyclist at the last minute....?!
Good luck all with the last minute preparations.
Just a steady 4 mile run for me at lunchtime.
Paranoid I am getting a cold and the train this morning was like an incubation chamber full of the unwell. Dosing up on the vitamins.
Any idea what time you can arrive up to at the campsite on the friday night?
As long as you have the code for the gate then you can arrive when you like
I've been dosed up on echinacea for about three weeks now, taper madness!!
