Simples. I'll not revealing my family's running prowess, but unlikely we'll leave Frimley till, ooh...10am.
90% yes from me. I'll be at Starbucks around 09:30ish for a warm up "poofters latte". That is, unless the weather is going to be biblical. As it is, it looks pretty windy so might swap my deep front wheel out.
Well I've just been for a little test ride with my new wheels over to lake and back - absolutely love them!! Can't believe the difference! Will be using them on Sat, no matter how windy!!
ooooohhhh just taken the new bike out for a gentle spin...... when i mean gentle spin i hammered the living shiz out of it round a hilly 30 mile loop....http://connect.garmin.com/activity/330694274 not bad for a test ride aye! ..... oh and raf it makes a big ass diffrence dosent it... so much easiser too hold speed too.... oh and il be there at 9:30 of course as im mr sadcase.
Hmm 25mph+ winds currently forecast, complete with showers. I'll be honest and say if the forecast doesn't change then I probably won't drive up. I don't mind cycling in bad weather but I'm not doing a 3 hour round trip for the privilege!
Forecast on BBC says not bad 10am-12 15-20mph wind then a chance of showers in early afternoon. On that basis I'll be drving over but will check again later and in the morning. Whizkid or Raf can one of you drop me a pm with your mobile so I can text you to let you know if I drop out so you don't sit around waiting for me.
Thought you weren't coming? You can always come too mine blisters, lots of advantages, shorter drive, free coffee on arrival, and an extra 40 miles on top of the ride.... I am however slightly mad/strange......
Guys, unfortunately I am going cry off....I have been up most of the night and am feeling sh1te. Sorry to be missing it and hope you have a good time. Hopefully there will be another chance to meet you all before (on another recce) before the big day.
Meh - don't think I'm coming. Weather looks a little worse now than yesterday and it's going to be drier at home so will cycle here instead. Have a good ride and I will be asking for another recce soon!
Just got back and cant help feeling a bit narked. 90 minutes each way, ive still not seen the course but in reality I came along to be sociable and meet some new people, I dont think I got the chance to speak to anyone on the ride.
Its not a major big deal, maybe I misunderstood the days intention, and didnt have the pace to keep up. If youre going to ride off way ahead those left behind will get lost.
We went back barley and couldn't find you mate, we were waiting on the edge of the hill, we were there for a long time, we even went all the way back down too the turn around point, also raf said you would meet us at the top, to be honest we ended cutting the ride a bit short anyway because of the weather
Barley - Good to meet you today and as you say a shame we didn't get to chat properly on the ride. I can't believe we lost you. The only thing I can think is that we waited a bit further up the road than where you turn back into the woods to come out by the temporary traffic lights and we didn't see each other.
Raf, Whizkids - Thanks for the ride good to see you both again.

Scuba - you have mail!
Right, who ever is going I would like a report on the available options other than Star(no tax)Bucks.
I do want to support the local and UK economy, although I have enough Teddy Bears.

See you tomorrow guys.
Whiz, no, I won't be there tomorrow, I'm thinking of some other day, and your offer has its appeal. Which town was your starting point?
