You do realise that if you don't drink the bar dry in the Ibis, the 2008 lot will mercilessly take the piss! And to think Kanga and Coach Bassos did most of it by themselves. There again, you do have Coach Barlos...........
As you may have gathered from my absence on the forum of late, other things in life have kind of got in the way of training - not even sure where my bike is anymore!! So alas, I won't be racing in Nice!!
But as everything is still booked, I may as well come along for the beers and perhaps a little supporting. Plus, as the current Mrs Raf lives in Toulouse (which is handy for her as she's French), its not too far for us to make a weekend of it - so I'll be able to provide translation services!!
And Pingu - it has to be Dogtag, just for the cool tags!!

Thurs 8:40 flight.... save me a beer or two.
i,m on 7am Bristol flight .
What day?
I am on the same flight on the same day
He's in Business Class. I am in Cattle Class
Sorry Friday!
Cool, will see you at the airport then
Nice one pingu see u there. Or maybe Bala before you doing it before Nice?
Pingu needs looking after at airports TB !!!
Yes, she's a little bit hopeless .... !!
There's always time for a coffee
So I've been looking at insurance today (as it's payday..) and I like dogtag as you get the cool little tag
But looking at their cover:
Hmm, that didn't come out too well, basically, on the basic over, for Personal possessions it looks like you can claim up to £200 with a £150 excess??
The next cover up costs £54, and you can claim up to £1000 with a £110 excess, don't think many bikes are covered with that!
Plus, I've been on hold to them for 10 mins to query this and the automated system has hung up on me.
So I'm now looking at www.sportscoverdirect.com - anyone used them? Cover sounds better:

Glad you're coming out, but not racing! Slacker!
Sportscoverdirect looks good... £33 for their gold cover which I think would cover a bike
What are people doing for Airport transfers?
There's a good airport shuttle bus, GB, which the pirates used last time. Taxi fares are, apparently, very very expensive. You can goofle the bus.
Raf - sorry to hear no racing but lovely news about current Mrs Raf.
I tried to goofle it but something called Google comes up
Oh, just seen I missed out the sports equipment cover, it's this for the 3 levels of cover:
Sports equipment £200 £400 £600What's not obvious is if a bike would be included as part of baggage (£2500 limit) or as sports equipment (£600 limit)!!
Exactly. Would presume it's comes under sports equipment though .
Still seems better than Dogtag though. Which haven't impressed me today trying to get hold of them I must admit.
Is your bike worth more the 600 quid though
