Like everyone else, if its not too expensive i'll go to La santa and either dates are fine with me.
It would be nice to train somewhere warm and where there are people to advice you with every aspect of your training and also like Carl said it would also be a laugh
Sezz - that would be good. It would be good to know how booked up they are for those two weeks in March anyway so we know how long we have to make any decisions.
do you have to pay extra for it? the timing looks reasonably ok, if people are going i might go but i'd want to ride the full bike course a few times, which probably wouldn't fit in with the tri course thing.
We'll get some details, I presume the organised training outings, bike rides, swim coaching running etc are all organised and scheduled and everyone can do as much or as little as they want. What else would we be paying £190 for?
I'll have a look and see if I can find what the schedules are for the week?
I have the schedule form last year at home so can post it this evening.
I think the fast bike group did most of the bike course but not all of it. The slow group did a ride of about 50m? basically from La Santa up the Haria and back.
If you want to ride the bike course several times then you would be better going and organising your own training week.
I'm watching at Vitruvian, Debbo. What are you suggesting Carl? If everyone can do as little or as much as they want, then that'll be fine... Anyway - I'm not making any decisions...just registering a hint of an interest.
lindi do you pay extra for being there when this tri camp is on?
that's really what i was thinking.... i'd rather be off on my own (or with anybody else who wants to come!) going from la santa up haria and marador del rio, but then right round the bottom of the island too and back up through the national park. maybe do that three times with days off in between.
if you pay extra for being there during the tri week, then going some other week would be more sensible.
You pay extra for the tri camp - 190 euros? for the whole week or if they have space you can pay per day.
If you want to join me in January I'd be up for doing the bike course twice (3 times might kill me!) and running the half marathon maybe.
Of course there is another option to organise a pirate training camp over here sometime. Could take over a youth hostel - Matlock springs to mind as a suggested location. Quite posh for a UK YHA and some good biking round Derbyshire. Not sure about where the nearest swimming pool/open water is though
or maybe if people want somewhere warm, go to lanza but stay in P del C?
then you can ride the proper course bike course in the right order, swim in the sea, and have a choice of night life rather than being isolated at la santa.
Apartments sleeping 3 adults are £562 per apartment for first two weeks in March. I was asked to call back tomorrow when they'd have more info on what large accommo is available.

If a date is decided on I don't mind seeing if they will do anything for a group booking as i have spare time here.

If you come in January we'll have a fantastic swim coach with us.

Long weekend in Derbyshire = 5 brownie points
If we did something in the UK then it makes traveling with bikes a bit easier.
If I had a reasonable choice La Santa would be the place
i think that the plan was to do a frankfurt training session. and scotland or the lake district should be good training?
For groups of 20, you get one free.

Tri camp is w/c 16th or 30th March
I have seen a listing of events that has LD tri w/c 2Mar and 9Mar. (unfortunetly they dont coincide with the Beach volleyball)
