Fantastic meating 'some' of you to, really was a great weekend and think the testing conditions on Sunday probably had more benefit than the physical training, I know our bike group were tested to near the limits of mental endurance but never lost their cool. That'll certainly be something in the mental tank when up against it on race day.
Oh im back safe despite some idiot parking his lorry on the inside lane by the M6/M1 sliproad.
Was well impressed by the large sausage on Friday night and extra portion this morning )
Whaaay thats me god I look terrible. Not helped by the fact the 80 year old woman is clearly out running me !! I tripped her up later though Great weekend guys run and ride were fantastic ... I still have to swim loads more See you all soon Paul
Twas certainly good fun, although when i lifted my bike up to get it on the train, the frame decided to drain its contents all over my feet-there was a lot of water sloshing around in there. Haven't been in rain like that in a long long time! Paul, you gonna get those photos you took up? I can host them if you have nowhere to put them.
Home and a very nice mobile phone shop has just relieved me of £80 to replace the one that died somewhere in the vicinity of Conniston or Windermere or was it Loch Ness???
Fantastic weekend, many thanks to Lindi for the organisation xx
Just passing though home on my way to my conference - just hope my next bunch of customers are as easy to please and entertaining as you guys :-)
Glad every one had a lovely weekend despite the weather.
I'll speak to Mark soon and let you know about the swim clinic - I'll try adn go for 20th May and hopefully that doesn't conflict with too many peoples racing commitments.
Great weekend, lovely to meet those I haven't met before and to renew acquaintences (sp?). Thanks also to those offering experience from the 'been there done that' camp although I am still uncertain whether to be daunted or inspired.
If it's of any interest to anyone today in Windermere there was a very cold wind, some bright sunny intervals, that were nicer and a lot of hail showers! (I left at 3:30ish).
It was great to meet you all and I look forward to next time.
Thanks for the organisation Lindi. And thanks to Stewart, Will and Mike for the bike and swimming tips.
Just wanted to say thanks to Lindi for all the organisation, I had a great weekend. And thanks to everyone else for their tips, advice and good company, I look forward to seeing you all in Germany if not before.
Also, thanks to Mike and Ava for bringing their IM DVDs along, seeing the atmosphere surrounding an IM event really helped bring home the reason for doing all this training, cheers.
Slummo is in the process of sending over the photos he took. Once completed, i will host them on my website so we can all see how terrible we look on camera!
Have only got the first lot slummo. I have cleared out my inbox incase that is stopping them coming through. Give it another go tonight if you get a minute.
I spoke to Mark today - he's feeling a bit better and hoping to run swim clinics on 22nd April and 20th May so keep the dates free and I'll post more details when it is firmed up a bit.

CARL
Has someone been slipping you an extra portion of sausage ?
;o)
I enjoyed the weekend too, despite having no sausage. The biking was great fun yesterday, but wetter than the swim, as Calf said.
I drove through a blizzard on the way back this morning, but of course it is lovely and sunny in Scotland as always.
See you all at Bala:)
