I've very happily avoided all shops since last Friday.
I never have any money left to take advantage of the sales (Thank goodness-I hate shopping !)
What does annoy me is seeing items I bought on Christmas eve reduced to half price,or less,2-3 days later ! !
Still no snowf here! they are now predicting rain, Oh! Deep Joy!

IW - I agree. It's amazing what one has to spend to save.
RD - The store is out of business now, but we had a store like that. It had weekly sales. I never could get across the point that the merchandise was overpriced to begin.
No snowf shoveling here. Huge thunderstorms during the night, but seems relatively quiet. Guess I will venture out.

Freezing fog here,so the snow still remains.

Ive done a run around the block this afternoon, but it was hard work with all the ice on the road,it made me puff quite a bit.
I know Im a bit behind the times, but I had a new experience running today,I had a mp3 player with me,running with all my Elvis and Ronettes music in my ears Im sure I went that bit quicker.

Swapped tomorrow's rest day with today as I over indulged on the champers at our neighbours house this lunch time. Oops! A very pleasant little gathering. They'd made some special veggie horses dooveries just for me. Unfortunately, they thought that Mike is veggie too so kept trying to make him eat them when he was looking longingly at the meaty things!
Snow and ice still here and it's been really cold all day. The ponds are both frozen over and the poor ducks are skating all over the place. The forecast is for rain tomorrow though so I expect I'll be able to get into Lunnon on NYD.
It's our anniversary tomorrow so we're going out for a meal and some drinkies. I think I may need to detox in January ;-)))))))
I hope Mike spoke up for himself and had some of the meaty things !
