Legs know they've done some serious wok - last ten miles they felt weak and the pace dropped fairly drastically -still - got to push myself into those zones to get stronger )

23rd could be an option for me but I am slow and 40 miles is pushing it for me at this stage...although I might be able to manage it if I put my mind to it!

Dont mind shorter but for a 3-4 hour round trip by car id like to be cycling longer than driving.
That date's good for me at the mo Carl - bit far for me that early though, although I can understand the point about how far you're travelling
With Bear on the length though. 40 or so miles max for me at the mo.
Perhaps we could do two laps or figure of eight or summat so people have a choice of 40 or 80.
I am up for a local bike trip if you dont fancy the drive to Windsor twice?
