Cheers RHGDU nice to know someone's still out there!
Team 3 are giving it everything. Kempez is hunting Padams down - he cranked it up to 19.5kph at the end of the last shift. Rach has been up at 16kph and Mr Consistent Orinocho has also started clipping seconds off his previous times.
Just had another slight mishap....... treadie just stopped for no apparent reason. Started up again straight away but we probably lost 20sec or so. Means we have to do some more maths to work out the cumulative mileage total too. Don't need this at 3.30am on marathon morning.....
Trains - it's London, capital of the world, they don't do trains too good there .
Ooh, the end is in sight - don't stop now fella's.
And best of british in the little warm down run afterwards as well. I must be able to get it online somewhere, not sure it will be on telly live here thought. Will be looking forward to hearing how you guys do!
Well it took me nearly 45hours but I'm not one to disappoint where there's expectation. Last stint and had to crank it up to 19.5kph (my legs are half the length of padams) but finally ladies and gentlemen at 4:52 and 34 seconds (approx) I had the kind of motion on the mill only I can - never broke my stride either. I can exclusively reveal that despite being a WR Holder my sh!t still stinks - which is somewhat of a disappointment as Lord Coe does tend to give off vibes to the contrary.
I'm walking like John Wayne and would currently struggle to stop a pig in a passage.
Massive congratulations for a truly epic achievement. It has been great following this online and popping in and out of the store over the last few days. You've had illness, spandex dancers, lightning strikes, treadmills turning themselves off and much more.
While it has most certainly been a huge team effort from everyone involved can I also give Nick a special mention. Having been cc'd on many of the organising emails over the passed few months I honestly say I haven't seen a more dedicated and hard-working nice chap.
