Been in Frankfurt today for work and paid a nostalgic quick visit to the Expo and finish area - the stands are almost up. Walking through the IM office I had a real pang of regret when a girl asked me if I was there for registration and I had to say no!

lovely and sunny here today - not seen mike but travelled a bit with one of his pals from home. expo is good too and lots of nice kit. feels like just yesterday i was racing here !

looks like it may well be another wetsuit-free swim tomorrow. lake this morning was 23.3c and the weather's been scorching hot all day.

 looks like he's on for a 5:20-30 bike split then.  did 5:19 at IMA.  then a 5 hour run.

Hope its a wetsuit swim next year....gulp !

Am aching abit today but feeling great after taking 29 minutes off my half IM pb at Cleveland yesterday. I finished in 5:35:37, including a 12 min improvement on my swim from last year

And will hopefully get fitter and faster ahead of this weekend next year.

hopefully mike can follow up his bike split with a sub-4 run.  think that would be more in keeping with his bike split than a 5 hour run.

Yeah lets hope he can, just all depends on the weather and what he's got left I suppose. He's had an amazing start though, so lets hope he has a strong finish.
