I'm getting a bit fecked off with weather affecting play too, OC.  I've just learned to run/bike in the rain so the Gods have unleashed a new weapon on me.

Barley - I am a broken machine!

the 500 point month was probably what broke me

Actually - I just swim a lot - 536 miles last year = 2144 points

For the first 4 months of last year it was pretty much all I could do due to some weird hip injury - thankfully gone but only to be replaced by my next injury-in-waiting

Best that you make sure you recover and unbreak before starting to get over excited by the training.  You need to at least make it to the start line in one piece, the rest is easy    (ish)

My off road shoes are by the front door, lucky that ive got miles of trails all round where I live so getting out in the icy conditions shouldnt be a problem tomorrow. 

To say im champing at the bit is an understatement

Barley - it was ok today if you stayed on the grass, however I was on precisely the wrong road surface and spent a lot of time almost on my bum.  You'll be fine on the trails.

Barley  - I'm going to use Don Fink's book as a guideline but I'm fairly active in the club so a lot of sessions are already planned out as long as you attend. I also got a new bike, tried him out this weekend.  I reckon I could do the bike course in about 20 mins now!  I am really scared but am a bit more excited now I have my new baby.
