yeah it is good. its a bit of a concern it will encourage junk miles so once my training starts proper i'm gonna have to try and leave it alone...lol... oh oh...and i'm getting a turbo this weekend....a mate (shadowone1 from bcttt) has done me a right bargain....i'll not use it much as i'm gonna strip the bike and give it a right good clean up before getting a full service on it in the new year...but me and a turbo?? unheard of..lol
i got a turbo last night, not used it yet as im waiting for a skewer from ebay, might be here tomorrow. It came with some spinnervals dvd's to kill the boredom. no more excuses now
Ha ha it's worked for me over the last 17 months. .......I am planning to start proper training but in the new year, until then I will just carry on as normal entering and running race's of various lengths.
Hi Slim will let you know, A friend of a friend has done both Hellrunner and IMUK, he finished in the top 200 in Hellrunner. Not sure I'll get anywhere near that, ,Ive done cross country and fell races before but nothing like this.
Sorry to hear that Richard how long before you can cycle?
Nor I Andy until last week, it's full but managed to get a place off a guy who can't make it .11 miles slippy hills, mud and bogs apparently, should be interesting.
Pi***d off now, 20 minutes on the turbo & my back tyre went flat, I knew IM training wouldn't be easy, I might take it to my LBS before i start bashing it with a stick John Cleese style. Perhaps i should stick to riding outside
i'm going to do cowman at emberton park as my half....i know a few people who will be doing this so i'm in..its only 4 weeks or so before IMUK but i dont think it will give me any problems...just a long training day before a decent taper!!!
Long ride this morning slightly scuppered by a broken saddle - but still managed 45 miles. Just ordered a new saddle without a front bit. Weird, but potentially comfy (or not)....

Had a fun time running the Hellrunner yesterday, although it wasn't as long as I was expecting the bogs were deep and long, I found it really hard running with cold legs after the last bog.

It sounds a bit late for me, Im after a fairly flat middle distance as early as possible in the year, are you doing IMUK?
I fixed my tyre, finally....Well Halfords did.
Yep, all paid up for IMUK
Hoping for a frost-free morning tomorrow to get a decent ride in...
