JPenno that is not good news. I posted on your Stolen Bikes thread my similar circumstances (both my Scott road bikes stolen from my locked garden shed as I slept six feet away sunday night before last). So far my insurance claim appears to be going through but no cash/bikes yet. I moved insurers when I bought the new bike as the higher value and high theft risk was too much for the last lot. The police have caught the guy who did it too as he left a trace of blood on the bike lock he sawed through. Well known to them but evidence at the scene should make the punishment heavier. Unfortunately he appears to have moved my bikes on already. Good luck with your claim.

BTW the amount of people who I have spoken to since who dont have adequate insurance but do have very expensive bikes has been alarming. Make sure they are specifically declared to your insurer and you know of any security measures that they insist on. Some insurers are far more reasonable than others. And change the screws on your sheds to the unscrewable ones, get a cheap shed alarm and throw another padlock on it. Anything to make it noisier and take longer to break into!

JP the police think they havent got a clue on road bikes and will shift on £2.5k of carbon for £50! How scary is that? Apparently they are more aware of MTB values.

I didn't do much Bike training last year or much swimming but loads of running, having said that I will be doing loads of bike training this year.  I've heard somewhere it's the best way to train for an Ironman!!

Anybody using Endomondo? its a really great training app and website and not only has a social side but the guys and girls of BCTTT (bcttt.com.....go and have a look sign up to the forum and join our merry band)have challenges set and its really motivating to take part in them....keep you going over the winter.

nice one fella's...SB...yep people will know if your slacking...at the moment the christmas compeed challenge seems to be the one getting people out..
i'm going to do a 4 mile lunch time run today with Baxter the irondog trying his first ever run with me...hopefully it will be a good one.

Had a look at the website Andy but haven't got a Garmin or smart phone I've been toying with the Idea of smart phone cos Mapmyrun have been plugging there apps to do a similar thing. Hmm

Woody you can still join up and add the runs/rides you do manually until you get a smart phone....endomondo is much better than mapmyrun...its even better than Micoach which i used to really like...only cause of the social and challenge parts tho....

so some good news finally.
I've got an appointment for physio after 8 weeks of waiting. i could not go private this time due to finances so have had to wait.....i can hopefully now have the shoulder fixed in time to start swimming again in the new year.
maybe the tri gods are on my side this time??

i'm just running at the mo and gary (triumphant) is putting us all to shame on endomondo.
in a strange twist though i'm improving...i knocked 2 minutes of my 10k time the other day...bringing it to 1.06 and giving me hope i can go sub 1 hour by crimbo!!!

Hi Andy,

I am doing a lot of low HR stuff. I am concentrating on my swimming drills and getting on the turbo 3 times a week. 

The Endomondo site is great. Cheers for the tip. It is making me feel more compelled to train, even when I feel shattered from work.

Hopefully this thread will spring to life soon.

Endomondo will be the death of me, but then it had got me out running more, and in Bolton this August I did suffer on the run, so hopefully with a few more miles in my legs
