Well plumbed for the treadmill today as when i got home this morning from work found Poohbear had got my son to bring it into the living room
i found out on Thursday that in the time it takes to watch one film i could get roughly 8 miles done so and as i wanted to do the 16 miles i missed last week had a Despicable me marathon watching both films so 16 miles done today
will probably go out with the wife tomorrow to keep her company when she does her LSR so that will give me a chance to do the 14 i should have done this week so still up with all the runs just not necessarily on the right days according to my plan
Hi guys - managed a run this morn - only. 2 miles but that was my first run for 8 days - all felt fine and I wished I'd done more but time was against me as I had to do horsie - then get home and showered etc then pick up my mum and take her to visit her husband who is in a home - then take her shopping etc - back to do horsie - now home with glass of wine and dinner cooking )
well time for running’s been a in short supply this week with work only got 7 miles done on Tuesday and did mange a weight session on Thursday using the bell weights had to work on Friday so no LSR so went out with Poohbear today and did the 18 miles (will let here tell you how it went )
hi just popped my head in to say hello and let you know that despite work making life difficult at the moment to run the marathon trainings still going Ok
I'm working from home today so slotted a daylight run in.
I've joined a gym opposite Cardiff Station now so I can exercise before work. I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to run outdoors in the dark at 5am before work so indoors is the only option, with longer outdoor runs on the weekend. The Gym is open 24/7! It will mean a 5.28am train but I'm fine with early mornings.
Off for a 6 mile hike in the morning - looking forward to that!
I’ve had to juggle the running around this week a bit as i was due to work on Friday and Saturday which are normally day’s off and my day to do my LSR so instead try to fit it in on Thursday but time beat me and i only had time to do 10 miles before i need to be heading home the annoying was got a phone call for work on Friday as i was about to leave for work to say i wasn’t needed after all
did work a few hours on Saturday morning which meant by the time i got home we were late setting off for Poohbear’s 15 miles and by this time we’d miss the beast of the weather at one point the wind was so strong we were running backwards when running into it and been blown along when running with it
Had one terrific down pour that we took shelter from but fortunately as the wind was so strong it blew over quite quickly after that the weather was ok and we had no more rain one thing about setting of that late we did end up running in the dark which is a whole new experience for me as nearly all my running is done in the light
Toby - most of my running is in the dark funnily enough which when wet and windy is not fun - especially the past few weeks.
So,I've joined a new gym near my workplace. First visit yesterday was good - enjoyed run, but they had a powercut in Cardiff which meant the treadmill stopped mid run (I nearly fell off) and the showers were cold - but not their fault!
Hoping for better tomorrow!
Working from home today so got a run on the beach front in.
