I've done it a couple of times but it's not a habit of mine. Once I tried it but the door got stuck so I was left with an attempted flounce and it kind of disolved into laughter. I'm not a natural drama llama.
My lovely S has just phoned to say he can come up on the 17th/18th Sept ..... no poppet, that's the one weekend I said I was away not when I would be here. <puts listening skills book on his Christmas list> I think we might have renegotiated it to the start of Sept and a few days away at the start of October .... for which I might just have found a very nice hotel in the Cotswolds.
Re: flouncing - No one really ever notices, or cares, do they?
If you crack that listening gift thing - let me know, will you? I swear I'm nattering on to myself half the time I'm giving out crucial information it is falling on deaf ears around here...
Evening ladies. No dramas for me today. But I did have good run (sorry to mention the "r" word) and I've just scoffed a yummy salad of leaves, tomatoes, avocado, boiled new potatoes and gilled salmon with home made dressing. Think I need to pop out for some pudding.
It was lovely having a day off and tackling stuff I always feel too knackered to do on the weekend. Back at work tomorrow and off again on Friday. I think I could get used to working every 2nd day only...
Just back from late walkie. Lovely tranquil stroll around Hendre Lake and down the canal to the Marshfields. Leg looking perfect but will carry on with 4-5 days no proper running as vet suggested.
Well, it's all realative Frodo. Just like there are the D2Ds of the world who run with a stress fracture and wonder why it hurts, thre are clients who think one day's rest out of the 5 suggested and a load of metacam is the answer to a pulled muscle in their dog.
Nice to hear of somebody following the vets advice wish you were our client Nam!
If I was only that sensible with my own injuries.. LOL. No, I hate to see her in discomfort and couldn't live with myself if anything I had done would give her any lasting joint problems or whatever. She's only 11 months, so still growing and I was always careful her being fit and healthy but never overdoing the running etc.
Thing is she THINKS she's ok and is feeling well hard done by not being allowed to run with whippet friend, me not taking a ball out to play etc... hence picked very antisocial walkie tonight where we don't come across anyone and she'll happily pad next to me shnaffling blackberries and just generally shniffing around...
She was funny today with me pottering in the spare bedroom... she has to be "involved" in everything. and if it's just sitting there watching and I chat to her, but she just loves to be included even in the dullest things. LOL It's lovely now 5 months in and it's beginning to feel very settled and much calmer than at the start... still by no means "calm" but calm....er....
Everyone is a bit of a paranoid parent for the first 9 months or so. Then they learn to judge doggie injuries like they do their own and not head for the vet so often. I cringe at the thought that I went to the vet when B had a broken toenail after I'd had him about 4 months ... never thinking I could have cut the thing off myself. It's like a lesson in triage
LOL cat just strolled in from nocturnal adventures and did the proper rubbing against dog and tail swiping her... she does love her really... now she's in front of the fire and Kara trying to lick her ears...

I meant to run tonight when I got home but it was 7.30pm and I was shattered and starving. Poor excuse isn't it? Gym tomorrow night though.
You can go right off some people very quickly

I will be sorting and tidying and chucking and ebaying this coming weekend. Smack me if I duck out of it.
(Of course, it helps that she's a friend and always gives me a little leeway on *just* how literally take her advice )
*deep sigh*
Labradors are the bestest dogs in the whole world ...but I may be a tad biased
They are all heart, no malice, little brain but lots of love
