What a farce. I got straight onto RealBuzz so why the problems with runbritain?! Anyway, I've had to open a new email address and re-register so lets hope that works. It's only 1 race for goodness sake!!
Artie - I registered not that long ago for the handicapping thing, but that was pretty useless to me cos the races I wanted to register my pbs against weren't on the lists. Neither was my club. Not impressed with it so far!
Pain free for me too! thought it might be slow or crash! I even had the laptop logged in as well (just in case). Got confirmation already as well! I am so glad that I got in this one.
Artie - sorry to hear about the toe. I'm benched too - I did the Thunder Run back in the summer (as a pair so I ran 93 miles!!) - surprisingly I hurt my knee. Came back too quick, slightly altered gait to compensate and now got ITBS. Tremendous. Like you I am also piling the pounds on, despite trying really hard not to. Problem is I'm used to fuelling 60-70 mpw, and now that's gone it's an awful lot of excess calories I've got to lose!
Hope you get sorted anyway, and see you at BM then (if not before)
Couldn't find my UKA card for this year so had to enter as unaffiliated. Bit of panic at the time with me running around the house shouting and swearing. All OK now though. Even entered Mrs Podro.
I'm in. Twice. Didn't recognise my UKA number so entered as unaffiliated so have asked them to cancel one. Durrrrrr....
Hmm, I entered for a club mate as well and didn't recognise his number either. Panicked a bit cos it's prob full by now lol so decided to enter him as unaffiliated as well. How did you make it work?

Lol, I have visions of runners country wide panicking over small details, I was same for club mate I entered, guess his shirt size so hope it fits!
LS21, sorry to hear of your troubles, buy hey, at least you picked yours up doing something cool, like running 93 miles, rather than falling off a wobbly chair!
Well, that was exciting! I'm in, my boyfriend is in. Had both laptop and PC on so I could enter both of us easily! Glad to see others have been successful too
LOL - I, too, have entered as unaffilated I was so scared that vital seconds would be important that I didn't want to waste the time typing in my club number.
My modem died last night, so I've had to run round to my mates with my laptop (hers is broken) and plugged into her internet so I could enter - I thought the fates were conspiring against me so I can't believe I've actually got in.
Between entering myself & 2 clubmates who are up a big mountain in Nepal the ref no's indicated that approx 800 entries had been submitted in the first 20 minutes. Not many northern runners having a lie in this morning then! I'm at work so that's my excuse.
Ay up LS21, hope you are soon back on the road. Keep your spirits up and stay away from the pies.
Hello again Podro. Sub 1:30 train again? Another one I see who has managed to influence his wife in at least one way
Had to laugh at Alib having two computers rigged up - hope your training is just as thorough!
Shielsy.. good job a copper didn't see you, definitely suspicious running along a street with a laptop!
I'll try for sub 1:30 but I haven't been training much over the last 18 months. Need to get back to it. Mrs Podro was a bit reluctant to be entered but my powers of persuasion convinced her it was a good idea. It will mean that I have to run back for at least two miles after I've finished to meet her and encourage her to the finish.
I only woke up at 8:50am! I thought I'd set my alarm.... Saturdays for me are normally LSR day so I'd usually be up before 7am. Just recovering from Amsterdam marathon so no long run today.
Is the race limit still 1,500? 800 in 20 minutes is pretty quick, pleased I woke up in the nick of time!
Ol Timer so it was you who didn't turn in this morning?!
Can't believe people have been entering more than one runner - next thing there will be places being sold on ebay - though Wardi's excuse about folk being up a big mountain in Nepal just about washes. I did hear on the news this morning that you can get a G3 signal on top of Everest so they could have done it themselves!!!
Shielsy i hope you logged that sprint in your training diary
Well something to look forward to as I have been in much the same boat as LS21 and Artie with a much disrupted year and still have a colonoscopy to go through next week as a final check - looking forward to that, not!!!!

click on Events tab - scroll down half a dozen events or so until you see BM and then click on the on line entry link
I won't believe I've got in until I'm holding my number though.

Now, is it going to snow again this winter?

Shielsy.. especially if you still had your pyjamas on.
Carrot.. 2000 this time. A few of the fast boys from the sub 3 thread are in so could be interesting at the pointy end.
