Unfortunately the Bristol Half (my hometown event) has been moved a week later than usual and so there is a clash between these two in 2011. Bristol is a well-organised city run with lots of friends and club colleagues running, but Chippers is simply a fantastic event. Decisions, decisions ...
Kevin - that "pull" as you call it, is virtually nothing. On my map software it's something like 37 metres in over 3.6 kms. That's an incline of 1 in 1000. NOTHING!!
Yep. The very gradual incline over 3.6 kms results in a drop of around 24 metres in the last km. Again, not a what I'd call downhill, but you do notice it after 19kms..... fanatstic assist just when you need it the most.
Very important question - can the organisers let me know if the T-shirt sizing will be the same as last year (I.e. the same brand) so I know if I've ordered the right size or not!
T-Shirts will be sourced from the same company as last year. I am afraid we have no control over the brand, they are as supplied by FrontRunner. We can only assume that the sizings will be similar to the previous years.
The size that you put down when you enter is simply and indication so we can work out how many to order for each size. If you find that the t-shirt in your goody bag is not the right size then take it back to the goody back area (when things aren't too hectic please!) and they will swap it for you.
Thanks Kevin! I ended up with a Medium that was massive last year, and you kindly sorted me out with a Small one instead. Was hoping to try and avoid a similar hassle (for you!) this year.
I was proudly wearing my 2010 shirt out running last week - thanks for a great T-shirt!
UPDATE.. We now only have 94 places left!!! 64 places went in the last 24 hours so the remainder won't last much longer.
We do not have a reserve list and we wont be making available another load of places for those people who missed out first time round!! Sorry, but when they are gone they are defintely gone!!
V Quiet on here for a race with 2000 runners. I'm running it as build up for Abingdon in Oct. Have done it for the past 2 years and highly recommend it. Looking for sub 1:30 but have to see due to recent niggles.
Barry, I have my last half marathon on Sunday (apart from this one) and then I'll start doing longer runs and posting on the Abo thread. Feel a bit of a lightweight on there at the moment without a recent long run under my belt. That said this week I should run 5 times with total mileage of 45 miles so I'm not doing too bad

There is a bit of a pull out of Langley Burrell but nothing too major. One man's hill (or incline!) is another man's mountain though!
We will have a water station waiting for you just around the corner to refresh you for the final stretch!

I'd go as far as calling it as flat as a pancake!
Kevin - thanks for the notice about th water station.
Paul - that's one lumpy pancake.
Hi, Someone told me there is a down hill finish !

Lincolnshire calling again - are there any entries left for 2011. Great race last year, would like to do it again.
We currently have about 140 places left which at the current rate of entry will most probably be gone in about 7 to 10 days.
If you want to run again this year 4runner you will need to book your place quick because once they are gone they are gone!
You can enter online on our website at http://www.chippenhamhalfmarathon.co.uk
Thanks 4Runner......

Wow, people! Hi guys!
I'm running this as a prelude to Chester (Oct 9th). Hoping to get a PB too around the 1:23 mark, but we'll see
Loz - Still a bit quiet on hear, come and join in the fun on the Abo forum.
Jason - Pretty quick then, what time you looking for at Chester?
