Being hungry I believe is the reason most 'diets' dont work .... I would reassess your meals and plan so that you are not hungry? Is that too simplistic a view tho??
I try and eat most of my daily food fairly early on in the day - a good breakfast, before training etc. Means that I'm not hungry during the day and training feels well-fuelled, but also makes it a long time until breakfast! Not quite sure how else to balance things
Great use of Slimfast tho - I have a tub of it somewhere from a failed experiment so free recovery drinks for a while
Schmunks, I think you're right. I had a cuppa, and felt less hungry! I think it is psychological more than anything, as I knew i'd reached my points limits, and felt I couldn't eat. Then I thought about having some more fruit, but realised I wasn't hungry enough for it. Just makes me realise how many crappy snacks i've been scoffing when I didn't need them - I eat as much for boredom as anything else!
Melds - i'm defo not starving myself, I think it is just that my piggish ways are hard to give up, hehehe
I've not tried slimfast, but i've got a diet protein shake that I have after a big sesh, or occasionally as a morning snack if i'm peckish - keeps me going for ages, and stops me snacking on crap.
LtP - don't forget too that if you have previously snacked on high sugar foods you have had peaks and troughs of 'sugar rushes'. It may be that your body has to get accustomed to being on an even keel re sugar levels. Keep going as you are and I am sure these imaginary hunger pangs will subside and you won't feel the urge to snack
Found today a little tougher than the previous two days. Ironically did less training today but felt hungrier than the other two days. Over all happy enough with how the day went. Need to go to bed shortly so I'll be able to get up for my early morning swim session tomorrow.
I am doing really badly so far. I have given up the beer in the week but after two hard training sessions I was starving yesterday and ate badly. Today is a new day and scrambled egg with no toast this morning.....
I've been controlling what I eat and drink since new year and had managed to lose 10lb up until the start day of this competition. Have lost precisely nothing since Feb 1st though Might be down to a cut-back training week.
Hope the rest of you donuts are covering my share of the weight loss
Hi guys hope you don't mind me posting! just came across this thread wish i had seen it earlier, would love to have joined Anyway's good luck with the weight loss I still hope to loose a few pounds this month with all this running and healthy eating. Lee...........another one of my favourites if you are low on points is to cook a pan of mushrooms with a chicken oxo and a pile of garlic.................make a lovely garlic mushroom.or keep the liquid and a lovely mushroom soup.........nil points
which IF I was training would be probably about right if not a bit of a calorie defacit to what I normaly chuck down my head, but as I am taking it easy until the 14th I think I may be in for a shock come weigh in day

Can't wait 'til tomorrow - two training sessions = om nom nom lots of food
LtP - Are you sure you're hungry? Could it be psychological as you feel you are depriving yourself?

Using the Food Focus websit and I cant eat as much as they suggest even if they do overestimate the calories used in excercise!
<<leaves a nice pile of doughnuts out for the other team>>
