nah not really ............... finkin about a swim and a bike and a run thingy when the weather gets nicer though. you want to join inthe drowning with me?
Thanks, Natnif! (Did I just say that? I think I need to lie down!). 15 miles @ 9:00 may be a little faster than I can manage so it looks like a solo run for me come Sunday.
Thanks for the reminder, Gavo; good luck to all the mara-nutters over the coming weeks.
As always, as I am the daddy when it comes to that event feel free to give me a call should you need any last minute motivation, or words of inspiration!!
Phuq me!! I'm going on a date with Natnif!! How my life has changed!! See you at 9 at Wolfie me old green one, if even to join you for a few miles before you shoot off into the distance.
Can you two please stop bickering about which marathon is the best as we all know that the best one to do is the one held in the village of Half!
Anyone watching/running Phlegm on sunday apart from me and the green one. if so where will you be so i can hurl abuse and vitriol as I stagger ungainly on my way
I'll probably pop over to Mudchute at some stage but I fully intend to be the one hurling the abuse and vitriol old man. Last I heard Tim & Crafty were jogging the fun run but CA has pulled out.
Natnif, yeah we all got through Rotterdam OK. Id & Squiggle both got PBs although she was more pleased with hers than he was. I missed my target time but I'm too old to care about these things any more.
Good luck, although prob too late, for all those GPers doing the fun run tomorrow.
Tim did 2.51 and I did 3.14. I thought it was horrible. Far too trapped and never any time to think. The best bit for me was the one relatively quiet patch of Docklands and the Blackfirars Tunnel when there were no people other than runners. The worst bit was when a band thought it a good idea to play under a bridge or in a tunnel: it was so intimidating. I know they mean to support the day but it did me no favours. Better go to work now I suppose.
Right, now that the spring mara nonsense is out of the way, anyone up for North Downs 30k? Or as a more gentle get-back-into-it race, how about the Sevenoaks 7?

I done exactly what I said on the tin . .
Just over 20 miles in almost 3 hours dead,
8:55 min mileing . . . got a bigun at the
end of April . . .
Plum - did you enter the Crystal Palace Tri??
could you find a link and post it just to give me some incentive to drown myself
i wil go and have a look myself
Anyone out early Sunday morning? I quite fancy a 9-9:30 min pace 15 miler.
Sorry Plum :
try :

sunday am - could be - but I need 9:00 not
9:30 - another and last 20 miles before the
FLM
Plummy - filled in most of my form for that tri today. Think I'll have to be conservative with the swim time though as haven't done much this year.

Morning all . . .
4:07:29 - not a pb, not even a pb for the FLM,
but one of the most enjoyable marathon runs I
have had in years . . .
And have we all planned our autumn maras yet?
