Gavo - I go at 9:13 on Sunday - so you will probably pass me at some stage - please not during the swim - and remember not to gloat too much when you do!!
Plummy you'll only slow down if you have a bit of a stroke in the swim bit. And with those 2 layers of neoprene/ lycra to get through, you could be there a while.
OK, given that it's spring mara training time & that I promised last week that I would boing this thread up from some dusty cupboard, it might be time to restart the SE London plods.
At the moment, I know of a few who are interested in Sunday morning runs (we used to start in Greenwich Park but tend to meet at the Cutty Sark now to help the north of the river boys) but others are always welcome - particularly as we haven't got around to re-organising any yet.
At the moment, distances or speed aren't that great but they will change over the weeks & some of us will always look for the odd hill to make the run more interesting. So if you're interested then post on here or email me.
Was that at me or Smitch there Plummy? You know & I know that stupidly early starts on Plum Common aren't my thing. So while the mileage is low then the starts are relatively late.
And I'm aiming for Windermere in late May so have a month more than the Flemmers.
Might not be able to make it this season as 'she who must not' is running London on a walk/run get you round and I have promised to do my sunday morning runs with her. . .
