Im going to have to drop out also sorry. Im doing the tour of the roaches sportive on the 20th and didnt realise it was on the same weekend when i entered.
I have a place at Manchester mara too. Ive been having real heart & head moments. Heart really wants to do it, despite limited run training, but my head tells me I may blow up/injury myself and the post mara recovery will scupper my Outlaw training

treat it as training run, use the run walk strategy that will get you round the outlaw, its a 6 hour cut off so you should be OK
just popping in......looks like i will be withdrawing from the weekend....damaged ligaments on the left knee means no running this month..... and as i hate pool swims....its a long drive for a short bike leg.....will probably have to spend the time on some OW swimming and some long bikes.......a real shame as i was really looking forward to it....
but got to be sensible with the double looming so close........hope you have a good one
I know a far few have dropped out, but it is still happening, I know a few have booked hotels, or camping
The following instructions will apply to both Saturday and Sunday
The race will start at 10:00, but it is 1 mile away from our house so would like everyone to get to our house by latest 09:30.
It is a pool swim and this will cost you £4, there are lockers at the pool but there will be a small tranisition area (maned) for you to leave your stuff
transition 2 will be at our house and will be covered if conditions are bad
I am off work on the Friday and Monday so if anyone wants to drop stuff off early or pick up stuff up late thats fine

it dosen't matter to me if there is only one person doing it on the Saturday, it will still go ahead, if in some small way I can help anyone achieve their goal of Outlaw (or any other IM distance) this year then it will have been a sucess to me. We will probably run it next year as well.
OK just noticed the Sunday is the same day as IM Lanza, there will be free wifi and laptops if anyone wants to follow Lanza on line as I have a few friends competing
I'm still planning on attending on the Saturday even though Razor is crook. He said he will come along if he feels okay. He feels a bit off with the meds. Hope to meet some of you guys on Saturday, best wishes Horse.
BB...no probs, it will be good to put faces to names and meet other Pirates. Really gutted not to be able to take part, was really looking forward to it.
Is anyone else likely to be taking an absolute age to complete the run ? . Still working on getting the green light for the weekend off (looking promising though) and would love to head oop North to join in with this. Bit concerned at the prospect of people waiting around for eons waiting for my tired old behind to cross the line though.
Slag I'm sh*te at the best of times and badly need some training at the moment so changes are I will finesh after you. I wouldn't worry about people waiting anyway we are pirates not team GB tis are way to wait for the last one.

Razor,
Come anyway and expect us all to fuss over you and generally make you laugh. You can trip people if you want
