5 hours 20 mins on the bike this morning, 23C when I started, 39C when I finished. The heat coing off the tarmac was unbelievable.

I like the heat but 39C might be a tad too much for me for training!
Oh that's ok then - if he's one of the "babes" they're allowed to be ridiculously fit and fast
6 mile run on the beach in the sun this morning although the temp hardly matched DD's conditions it's safe to say.......brrr....still it was a nice morning to be out

Morning all, cycle to work this morning and home again tonight (might take a longer route home). Signing for the Pearson sportive are up already Melds, although just to confuse things it looks like another set of signs are up on a lot of the route!
Have now swum 3 times in the last week, I'm sure it'll click at some stage but it's still hard work after no swimming since September.
& DD gets a huge thumbs up from me for keeping Outlaw under the radar for so long, I only managed to keep my entry quiet for about 2 months before finding an appropriate time to mention it
Jaffa Its says in the notes that there is an Evans ride on the same day but make sure you follow the orange signs!
I am sure they will all look the same in the pouring rain !
Definitely not good on the bike by any means. Cant stop looking at flashy new ones and being tempted by 0% finance deals. Everyone must ask the question of 'how much faster would that one make me?'

Not done to much today nice easy 40 minute lunchtime run and just done30 mins sea swim off Plymouth Hoe it was slightly taters
7 mile run and a 50 min gym session ..
I love the canal bank in late evening but we are a bit low of ducklings at the moment!

Really enjoyed todays training,,Felt good for the first time in a while.Ive put a shorter stem on the bike and it seams to have made a massive difference.Just need someone to sort this bloody weather out.Getting bored with these hailstones now.
Certainly is boring !! Although it feels warmer out there and it looks to be upping the celsius next week so we may just get a warm lake before Outlaw !!
Hope so,North sea is chuffing freezing.Go to try out a lake in the morning,weather forecast for north east isnt to good.

Felt rubbish on my long ride this morning. Started off having to replace a flat (from the turbo - front tire?!) and then after a serious case of CBA went out for the scheduled 5 hour ride. Felt ok for first 2 hours but after that it was a constant battle to get my legs to turn the pedals. Ended up being out for 4hr 45 but just felt slllloooooowwwwww. Ah well at least I did it!
Ran at dawn 2 hours 32 mins 28,5K, was fine taking it easy. Running the day after a long ride is much easier than it was last year. Progress
Have spent the rest of the day with the kids at a water park, now officially knackered.
First open water last week and it was blinking cold, only did a couple of loops of the lake so 1000m but didn't want to stay in any longer.
Longest ride ever today. 100miles done with three other mates doing the Outlaw. Great ride and cafe stop. Ice bath once home and legs feeling surprisingly good and dominoes pizza is being ordered as I type. Starved.
