Holgs, glad the tri show went well, wish I could have made it.
Feeling OK this morning, bit stiff & bruised, that's all. You learn from your mistakes (i.e. be aware on crappy country roads). Bike needs a good clean!
Made the most of being off for a week with the kids and got a longer session in the pool this morning 4k done, and a 8mile run tonight. Looking forward to going to see my mum in the yorkshire dales on Wed get some hill training miles on the legs.
1 hour brick session tonight. Nearly came a cropper on the bike when the front light suddenly went off and left me travelling down a hill in total blackness.
Certainly a saddle clenching moment. Remember to connect light to battery properly next time.
Strange question.... are credit cards OK after they've been through the washing machine? Must remember to check pockets on cycle top and remove emergency cash and credit card before I wash them!!
should be ok Raf, as I don't think the washing machine should effect the magnetic strip on it ???
have woken up with a stonking headache today - mostly sinus related - so am feeling a tad crap. am going to have today as a rest day (though I may well play around with kettlebells later and do core stuff if my head doesn't feel like it'll explode) Bah
That's crappy Fraggle, hope you feel better as the day goes on.
Raf, I reckon it'll be fine. My granny once washed £200 in my papa's trouser pocket - not a good outcome. Now there's a thread idea - "What have you put through the washing machine by accident?" Mine would be an REM ticket.
Really short of time today, so a quick swim - 4 x 250m trying to focus on my core and not dropping my hips - and a 30 min run straight after. Have just unrolled the yoga mat to do some core work and stretches.
I am feeling very positive about training and O-day at the moment
Done an hour swim tonight. Had a go at bilateral breathing, did it for half a dozen lengths. Felt a bit awkward but i think a bit more practise will sort that out

2K swim done, just waiting for lunch to go down then I'm off out on the bike - I *love* being on half term when the kids aren't

SD, rest assured I'll be there...
Glad you haven't siezed up Tim.
One mile swim done.
A little too much concern for Tim and not enough concern for his stead if you ask me
Yeah, Raf. I was thinking the same thing. Bones heal, broken carbon doesn't!
Ha! The bike's fine. Cheapo aluminium ... heavy, but strong!
Phewww!! That's a relief
Holgs I think the word you left out there was 'yet' '
Horse, swim, run, gym for me
quite probably Madame.
Lovely run this morning, cold, frosty, watching the sun come up. This is what it's all about.
Blimey !! Everyone out enjoying 'spring' ??
60 miles biked ...fabulous day for it
45 mins on the rollers this lunch in the car park at work. That's almost certainly what this isn't about.
Masters swim class tonight. I'm told the highpoint of the session will be a 200m and then a 400m time trial. Oh yipeee!
400 and then a 200 is the CSS test ... if that is what they are doing Donkey

What's a CSS test?
SD, scary.
So, Chelsea Buns are acceptable recovery food, right? Right?
Good swim session last night, sprints. Hard work.
I had to do one of them to get onto a buidling site......or was that a CSCS test???
Meldy - Yep, CSS test indeed.
Spoons - Here you go

Swim and run planned for lunchtime.
Oh, and I've booked the electric camping for Outlaw
Donkey .. what was the outcome then??
Spoons, get it done every couple of weeks, its a good test ... you too Nursey & Fraggs !!
I dont want to tempt fate but I dont think I have ever put anything throught the wash that wasnt supposed to be there ...
Getting better while actually enjoying the time swimming. It's no longer something "I just have to do".
Good stuff Donkey! DId you do it that way round? Should be 400 and then 200 which will prob give you a different result
Yes ma'am.

Will try the other way next time.
Whats a washing machine? Is it the same as a wife?
