Tim, I always run better off the bike, you are nicely warmed up and the cadence is 'there' following the bike (its all relative and I still run like a lumbering thing)
feeling less crappy today (got a good night's sleep last night which helped) so have walked dog at brisk pace, done a 40 min Chrissie Wellington audiofuel session on the turbo and then half an hour of kettlebells and core. phew. tgi lunchtime
I feel like that all the time Spoons (hungry, that is, not pleased with my swimming!). Probably a tapeworm.
1hr 05 on the bike. Jeeeeeeeeeez it's cold out there, my arse is like a block of ice. Warm hands and feet tho' - odd. Not the best training week, a couple of sessions missed due to work/kids/hubby/life in general. Still, will manage my long bike tomorrow and long run on Sat.
A lot less chilly then yesterday. A great session in the pool last night, the usual 300-400m of warm drills, floats etc... and then 20 x 75m off a diminishing rest recovery. Really pushed hard and enjoyed it.
well done spoons and holgs on the swimming. I am no longer the slowest in my lane at tri club now - I know that cos I keep catching people up and having to hang around a bit. just need to sort out my legs and kick and I will be getting there
Missed NEWT swim last night so went solo this morning, managed a mile in about 45 minutes, dead pleased with that! It got easier as it went on, the first 30 lengths felt really tough then I warmed up. Concentrated on trying to keep form, but I'm sure I was splashing like a drowning antelope at the end. Still ... I'm happy.
You're all doing very well. Due to work the past couple of weeks I've had to run/bike in the morning for necessity. Today I chose to run in the morning . Easier here as by 7am it's light, whereas in Europe it's still dark at 7am. Blighty does have its upsides.

Yes, but quieter and more efficient.
Ah - so it's much the same as lactate threshold runs.
45 min turbo, then a quick run in the cold. Felt good. I seem to fly off the bike, maybe it just feels quick.
Racing in pirate colours for first time on Sunday. It's only a 10k, but the only way is up, right?
Correct !

I run quicker coming off the bike and in training I have to concentrate on keeping it together and not going out too hard and fast.
Returned to proper running last night with a few 1500m intervals.
Just completed my longest swim. 4km / 160 lengths in 85 mins.
Nice one spoons.
Good swimming Spoons!
I'll have some coaching, please, Spoons!!!
My pool sessions are usually limted to an hour but I'd like to think I could give you a run for yer money
nice one spoons !

Goodness it's cold today. Applying the chamois cream brought a shudder & a grimace.
Everyone at my work says I must have a tapeworm....
Just the one?
