  • Ah, my last LSR was also 15 miles.

Well its late on in the day with me. Just done my first long run Saturday just gone. Only 15 miles but I felt great. I have been doing loads and loads if quick short runs since Xmas and I have never felt so fit, they have helped hughly on my longer run and HM's i've done. So I am moderatley optimistic in finishing as long as I get the nutrition side of things right. Alternatively I will die a miserable death on a hill somewhere image

Phew, I was getting worried by your optimism there for a moment !

  • I have a feeling this could go down in marathon running history .... Everyone will be lined up at the start, Goldie will fire the gun, a couple of speed merchants will hare off, and the rest of the field will just be standing there going 'Meh! .. just have another coffee first!", before ambling off (probably in the wrong direction).

  • There must be a record somewhere for the worlds slowest average marathon pace? If not then we may inadvertently break it image

  • I may be slow, but dammit - I'll be magnificently slow.

  • ky plan is to get to mile 20 quickly, have a great time, then leave wkth enough time to finish at a bimble.

  • i must admit those pictures on facebook put me off, seeing all those green fields and trails as im a convinced road runner. but it will be fun either way, im sure of it! :P

    "You first"

    "No please after you"

  • "Ooh its getting awfully late isn't it ... getting quite dark now .. can't quite make out what that is in the distance!"

"Hmm, think it may say Mile ... 1 !! "
