And I am particularly excited today because Santa's Little Helper Marathon Maus is coming over. Feel like a teenager inside. Grown men shouldn't be like this, right?!
Unless something has gone horribly wrong in the last 10 days, you feel like a teenager outside, too.
Orbutt - Are you suggesting that we are incapable of appropriate adult behaviour? If you are...you'd be right! But I'll see if we can suspend normal service long enough to get a forum-appropriate photo of the Running Yoda.
Eggynog - you are correct. It was funny yesterday as I was in Gent and I saw Sinterklaas and his helper (Zwarte piet) in a kebab shop getting dinner. was quite funny to see them in full dress getting a kebab!
Maus - i didnt get anything in my school shoes either
On way to Xmas work party. Currently making dapper look like a scruffy looking nerf-hurder! by midnight I will have transformed into a quivering bosseyed drooling drunken mess. See you on the other side x
Jimbob and Rudolph- enjoy your Xmas parties get hammered you probably deserve it.
Just done 5 miles now my night is going to consist of looking after my daughter because the gf is out eating a massive pizza and doing a Jillian micheals workout DVD I just found stashed In my gf DVD collection it's promises killer abs in 30 days so I'm going to try it out ( determined not to look like homer at Paris)
BM - yes, but progress isn't necessarily a straight line. Some days will be good, some will be bad, but overall you'll be amazed in April at how far you've come.
RR - yes the pizza was after the DVD I don't think my gf would appreciate coming home to find me curled up in the corner crying about my sore abs and being sick lol
Jimbob - sounds like you're feeling rough this morning must have been a good night.
BM - all the training will work keep going! I feel like I have more bad days then good but looking at where I started in July not being able to run half a mile to doing a half marathon in October and now training for Paris the training must be working.
I did an icey Perth parkrun this morning in 23:27. Happy to have a faster pace run in after a lot of slow runs and nothing broke. Doing my LSR tomorrow up here. Chances of getting lost, high!
Eggy, where are you going? You could always stop off at my Mum's in Scone for er scones ... or are you beasting yourself up Kinnoull Hill? Have a good one!
I ran in a HM race yesterday and was very happy with 1:48:32, which is just 2 minutes slower than my PB. Having run under 4 hours for the first time in Rome this year, I feel that I'm still on course for sub 3:50 or die and Yer_Maj can't catch me
Lots of lovely running this morning! And maybe a few sore heads....JIIIIIIIIMMMMMMBOOOOOBBBB!
I got out for a wee 7km trot in prep for 20km tomorrow :S
Anyway, it's looking like the London massive, along with a few tourists are going to make an appearance at Hampstead heath parkrun next wknd. Let myself, jimbob all the way or running rodent (what's your name for Christmas?) Know if you want to join. There will probably be a refreshment stop afterwards.
Beautiful 13 mile run from Farnborough to Woking along the canal yesterday afternoon - sun shining on the autumn trees and one of those days when it feels brilliant to be a runner. With the office party at the end, it was a good day.

Technically today is St Niklaas in belgium/netherlands/germany so it kinda is like christmas
I got chocolate today, lots of colleagues left earlier yesterday and today and now good ol' Sint Nikolas is on his way back to spain on his boat
Is that the racist dude with his slave helper, Zwarte Piet?
Nuts! I forgot to polish my school shoes...
