Cheers! I have to ring on the 13th to change my address and get another magazine sent out apparently, can't even find out over the phone!
Another year, another rejection.
Im in!! Just got my acceptance mag through. Ive been trying for 5 years and I'm so pleased.
Now the hard work begins...
Rejected too. That's six in a row. Under the five-strikes-and-you're-in rule I would have had a place for 2015, but that's finished now.
Always wanted to do London ,7 rejections later had enough , this time last year entered for Liverpool in may...but 2 days after my last long run I broke my collarbone!!!
Now got a place in Snowdonia on the 25th its a bit evil! But I'm local so able to train on the course !
Marathon training is so time consuming I only want to do one... so fully expect a your in magazine when I get home today!!!!!!!!!!
10th rejections so far for my housemate! It's now becoming a standing joke. What happened to the certain amount of rejections and then you get a place thing as Stephen R said.
It's nuts and if you are the chosen very few that managed to get a place well done x I think you have more chance of winning the lottery.

Just got sent a message by Leonard Cheshire Disability, they want £1,800. Admittedly that's only £200 less!
I ran it for VICTA last year not through any affinity with them, just becuase they set their fundraising at a level I felt sensible.. They wanted £1250. Its £1300 this year looking at this link. Still the lowest i could find plus you can take your £100 registration fee off the total so in reality its £1200. Plan was to get GFA last year but i came up short. Had a 'you're in' this morning though.

Surprise surprise! No Ballot place for me again.
However was fortunate enough to run for a charity last year, but no way could I raise that sort of money required by charity year in year out.
Better start looking for another marathon to run next year.

3 rejection magazines in this house...
My ex has got in twice now in 6 years, I'm still waiting to hear but not been successful once yet...
There are enough people usually wanting the places who are willing to raise the £2000 so they would be irresponsible to those that the charity helps to accept less....
though in recent years the bubble seems to have burst a little and we get lots on here later on in the year getting a little desperate to get rid of their places......

Got a charity place last year then broke my foot training so really hoping to get in this year. Will be running for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home who are amazing!
Has anyone bequeathed their entry fee AND received an acceptance letter?
If so, would you mind accessing the link and trying to login? My information cannot be found so by a process of elimination wondered if that was because a reject letter is soon to arrive or other reason?
