Having got the 'there's still places' email this morning I just about managed to stop myself from doing something stupid!!!

We ummed and arred over doing Outlaw next year but are doing the Brutal as our "A race" and have some Cotswold credit from marshaling for the 113 or 226 as a prep race.
We'll be supporting next year, Abi will have her cow bells

and I also think that at some point in the past, poss at the DIY I agreed to a smack down with Red Stripe as our IM times are a few seconds apart, judging by her impressive performances over her last few races, I'm going to get my arse handed to me on plate
I'm thinking of entering Cotswolds 113 as a warm up - seems about right for the plan and only about an hour from my house

Oh no Ghost. Im starting easy awaiting 19th October when its 40 weeks to race day to start serious stuff. Just enjoying end of season for a couple of weeks first.

Red Stripe - do you have a 40 week plan, or it that just a pre-plan-pre-plan starting point? I thought I was super keen with my 20 week plan + 10 week build phase (ala Fink) starting after Christmas.

im trying to get into a routine - swim masters, trail run Tuesdays, spinning class & Pilates during weekdays Then run & ride long at weekends.
I will use sportives to get new routes, feed stops & signage
to be honest 40 weeks sounds achievable to start from scratch !

That sounds like a good routine Red stripe. I've been trying to get myself out running to start with and will be adding in the cycling/swimming as soon as term starts next week. But I've just heard my free circuit class on Mondays is out. Too many triathletes were turning up and the AC club has politely told us to go get our own circuits
