Just read back and seen the word 'hill'. Mannheim was flat. My revised objective at Richmond is now simply to beat 1:15.

How will this picnic work? Do we contribute to a food fund, bring our own, bake and share or what?

I think the best bet is for every one to bring their own basic picnic but if they wish to contribute towards a general food pool they can do.

That way everyone gets something to eat and hopefully a bit extra :-)

I will have a gazebo where people can leave their food in the shade.

it is Mr J's maiden 10K it is a lovely place to run and totally traffic free. Do get some hill training in so it won't be a big shock.

I ran past the start area today and did a bit of a recce. the area on the race site map where all the baggage tents etc are is huge!!! so I'm sure there will be a corner for us forumites.

I like the idea of a forum cup - it will need a strong team to compensate for my time if we're going to reach 200 mins though! I also like the idea of the picnic.

This could be a cracking run if we all go for it - it is expensive, but it would be a nice (if small) way for us to honour a man who gave us the London Marathon. I'm sure all FLM vets will agree.

Oooh count me in please! Didn't realise there was a forum for this race too. Am doing the RNLI 10k on Sunday which I am partly looking forward/terrified about as it's going to be my first 10k!

Have paid my fee, was £17! But got in before the price got raised to £22 I think, bit pricey but hey - what a gorgeous setting!

It'll be me, my boyf and our 8 year old son, will bring loads of nibbles (post race recovery food), sounds like fun!

Someone said something about a banner? What colour, what does it say on it?

Also, does anyone know if there's kit storage at the event or if we have to drag along a 'supporter' or hijack some else's? (not planning on driving so will need to have a bag with me)
