I wish I could run at lunchtime but we only get 30 minutes for lunch. I have to rush around as soon as I finish work collecting my 2 year old from nursery, dashing home, getting changed and can't get out the door until 6.00 p.m. which means I don't get to eat dinner until 7.00 p.m. :-( I'm out tonight on a slow 4 miler.
oh yes, a non stop whirl of fun fun fun :-) BTW, I've sent off my application for Reading today. I'm also applying for the New Years Day 10k in Hyde Park.
Yes, I've done the Flora Light there the year before last, unfortunately this year clashed with our holiday. My partner ran it last year and I went along to watch, looks a good one. You can print off the application form from www.serpentine.org.uk. It starts at 11.00 a.m. and costs £8. If a few of us do it we should meet up.
Back to boring diet talk... 2 weetabix skimmed milk and orange juice. 1 brown roll lettuce & tomato. (Such a goody) and then it went to pieces and I had a great big yum yum. So done 50 sit ups to ease the guilt. Back to work soon but time for 1 more coffee... have a good day all...
New Years day run !!!!! yeah that'll be right. Mum makes big family dinner we all get a bit tipsy... and it's my birthday .... apart from that.. it is hogmany.. and it's traditional up here just to get leathered
I had that problem with my calves since Sunday, Monday and Tuesday I could hardly walk. I must admit, I have been increasing my mileage by more than 10% at a time but only because its felt ok to do so, if it feels too difficult I wouldn't do it.
I really dislike swimming. Running is the only form of exercise that I enjoy and have kept up (on and off). I'm surprised that swimming would do that to your calves though, I thought swimming was easy on the body.

"well my man works nights, gets home at 6.15 in bed by 6.30 I get up 6.45"
15 mins to burn calories? (tee hee)
Hmm SusieQ, I could quite fancy a New Years Day 10k to start the year off well. Will go and look at the website now.....

Went to WW last night - lost a pound (good news), went out into the car park and promptly reversed my car into the WW leader's car (not good news).
This may turn into the most expensive pound of flesh I've lost.
